Earlier this month seven of our MJWC ladies took our annual club trip to visit Tybee Island and Savannah, and we are still talking about it!

We had family style breakfast together every morning, Saturday morning beach time, autumn wreath making on Sunday, dinner at The Crab Shack, and a full day of exploring Savannah that ended with dessert and cocktails at Lulu's Chocolate Bar. We stayed up way too late every night talking and laughing, which was the best part of the trip.

This is one of the things we love most about MJWC. Yes, we serve our community, but we also really like each other and make time to enjoy it.

The McDonough Junior Women's Club was proud to not only sponsor but also show up in person at this year's Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk right here in McDonough! 🇺🇸

This incredible foundation honors the sacrifice of Firefighter Stephen Siller, who gave his life helping others on September 11th, and continues to support first responders, veterans, and Gold Star families. Getting to support a cause that honors service and sacrifice this deeply means so much to us.

Two of our members laced up and walked to represent MJWC, and we could not be prouder. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this incredible cause! 🎗️

One of the funnest parts of being in the McDonough Junior Women's Club? Getting to curl up with a great book and then talk about it with women who feel like family. 📚

Last month our Book Club dug into The Deep End of the Ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard, and as always, the discussion was just as good as the book itself!

Our book club is just one small piece of what we do. MJWC is a community of women in Henry County who show up for each other and for this community in so many different ways, through service, social events, friendship, and yes, sometimes a really good book.

Our scarecrow has officially landed on McDonough Square! ❄️☃️❄️

This year our theme is Frozen and we could not be more excited about how it turned out. Come find us on the square and strike a pose as Elsa and Olaf!

A huge thank you to our members who designed and built this one and to everyone who helped get it up on the square! We had so much fun bringing this to life and we cannot wait for you to see it in person!

Make sure to stop by and vote for your favorite Scarecrow while you're downtown!

We are honored to support Tunnel to Towers!

Thank you, McDonough Junior Women's Club, for standing behind America’s heroes and supporting the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in McDonough again in 2026.

Your continued community support helps make this event a meaningful day of remembrance, service, and local unity.

The Tunnel to Towers mission is carried forward by people and organizations who believe in honoring sacrifice, supporting families, and showing up for something bigger than themselves.

We are grateful to have the McDonough Junior Women’s Club as part of this year’s race community.

When most people think about joining a women's club they picture formal meetings and committee work. And yes, we do that. But what nobody tells you is how much fun it actually is!

We have a monthly walking club. A monthly breakfast club where we try different local spots. We take a group trip every year. We laugh A LOT. And somewhere in between all of it, you end up with friends from all walks of life.

If you've been looking for your people in Henry County, come check us out. We meet every third Tuesday at 7:00 PM on Turner Street in McDonough (that's tomorrow night!).

This year MJWC has been all over Henry County and we are so proud of it.

We sponsored a table at the Ferst Readers Spring Luncheon to support early childhood literacy. We had a booth at People First of Henry County's Easter EGGstravaganza to celebrate the special needs community. We volunteered with Street Paws for animal welfare. We served our famous (and delicious) tomato sandwiches at the Geranium Festival. And we are not done yet!

We show up for the community and we are always looking for women who want to show up with us. Come to a meeting and see what we are about! Third Tuesday of every month, 7:00 PM, at the clubhouse on Turner Street.

You may have seen our name around town and wondered what we actually do.

The McDonough Junior Women's Club is a group of women who live and work in Henry County who genuinely care about this community and want to do something about it. We support local organizations, plan events, and build some really great friendships too.

This weekend four of our MJWC members spent some time giving back to a space that means a lot to us!

We held a Clubhouse Clean-up Service Day, tackling the windows, shutters, and doors at the clubhouse generously shared with us by the McDonough Women’s Club.

We are so grateful for their generosity in letting us use this space and we wanted to show that gratitude in action. Thank you to everyone who came out to help!
