A beautiful spring day at the Strawberry Festival served as the perfect setting for the Farmington, Iowa Community Visioning design workshop. Community members stopped by to view layouts and designs and also gave feedback on potential trail routes and connectors, the riverfront, business district, and more. Exciting to bring some green into a community revitalization!

Growing tree canopies and communities is at the heart of our work, and thanks to Illinois Community Canopy funding, we can support projects like this!

The Zion Park District was able to invest in its community's canopy by conducting a Tree Inventory of Shiloh Park, one of their most frequented parks. In addition, 28 volunteers worked alongside the park district for six hours to plant 77 trees in other parks across Zion. The planting event doubled as a workshop where volunteers had the opportunity to learn from professionals about the best planting practices.

We cannot thank Eocene Environmental Group enough for their leadership and inspiring action towards tree planting, preservation, and education!

This group of volunteers and board member, Ben Curtis, were hard at work planting 30 trees in Des Moines as part of the One Million Trees Central Iowa Initiative. Each tree planted is a step closer to a healthier, greener future!

The Alliant Energy Community Tree Planting Program is about bringing people together to improve infrastructure and create a healthier future.

Last Saturday, the City of Marion, Iowa Government added 30 trees to residential ROW thanks to funding from Alliant Energy!

Board members Robin Sempf and Will Teubel, as well as the Marion City Arborist, Mike Cimprich joined our Growing Futures team and Trees Forever TreeKeepers for a wonderful day of planting.
