PRAISE GOD for the wonderful turnout at our Harvest Festival! 🌻🍁🍂 We had over 100 people stop by the trunks our wonderful volunteers put together! We saw some great costumes. 😃

Many also came inside the building for the glow room, chili and cornbread, more candy prizes, and the bounce house. What a great day.

Thank you to all who volunteered to help make this event a success, and a HUGE shoutout to Abbi Lackey, our wonderful Children's Ministry Director, who put the event together!

Our hope is that all who came saw glimpses of God's goodness and the truth of the gospel. Let's pray for that too.

See you next year! ⏳🍂⛅🎃

What kind of life are you sowing? One of market-driven perfection, or submission to the One who knows all things?

In our conversation with Larry Austin a few weeks ago, Matt and I (Laura) heard about how "The life we sow is the life we reap," and how "Our lives are the fruit of our habits." I was challenged by this idea, and how living a godly life is not about a formula fitted for your lifestyle -- it's actually about doing the things God calls us to do in faith, trusting that those practices will begin to produce in us a life that we couldn't produce by direct effort.

So what do you think of these ideas? And again: what kind of life are you sowing? And further: what kind of life are you reaping?

- PASTOR APPRECIATION POST -
To: the pastors
from: your congregation

Dear Pastor Matt and Pastor Gary,
You have shepherded our body through so much in your time at Cornerstone, and the past two years alone have required much of you. From a new vision statement to identifying plans for the future to navigating growth challenges, you've ceaselessly sought the Lord and shepherded the people so well (alongside the other elders!). Thank you for seeking God for us and guiding our body this year. Thank you for pointing us to God and his word to us time and again. Most of all, thank you for loving us!!

With love and gratitude,
Your Sheep 💚🐑

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." - Philippians 1:3-6

Let's shower Matt and Gary with gratitude in the comments below!
