Some of our Lutheran Schools began the school year last week, and some are starting this week! May God bless all of the students and staff at our IDE Schools in their studies and work. A prayer as they begin this school year:

Lord Jesus Christ, You have entrusted to Your people the task of teaching all nations. Enlighten with the wisdom of Your Holy Spirit those who teach and those who learn that the joyous truth of the Gospel may be known in every generation; for You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Rev. Matthew Schilling has now been installed as Senior Pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Davenport. He had served as the Associate Pastor at Trinity since 2023 and accepted the call as Senior Pastor earlier this year with the retirement of Pastor Golter. Thanks be to God for his continued ministry to God's people in Davenport!

Rev. Harvey Peters was ordained and installed to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield on July 11. Pastor Peters graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne-CTSFW this year. We welcome him back to the IDE as he previously served his vicarage in Cedar Falls. Welcome, Pastor Peters!

The 69th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod came to a close last Thursday. We invite you to look back at some of the things that went on during the week.

Welcome to Pastor Henry Eising to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church LCMS - Coralville, IA. Pastor Eising was ordained and installed on Sunday, June 28 with Rev. Dr. Jon Vieker of Concordia Seminary preaching. Pastor Eising was called and placed to Prince of Peace after graduating from Concorida Seminary this spring.

Rev. Dr. Dean Rothchild was installed as Associate Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha on Saturday, June 13 by Rev. W. Max Mons, IDE First Vice-President. A reception followed the installation and Divine Service that evening. Thanks be to God for Rev. Rothchild as he continues to serve God's people!
