NorthShore Robotics, A Louisiana STEM 501c3 We hope to inspire happy, confident achievers.

The mission of NorthShore Robotics is to encourage and foster a passion for STEAM education in our students and community. We enable our students through exploration of STEAM subjects in the world around us and through lessons in programming, designing, building and application of the engineering process. We encourage a culture of camaraderie, determination, positivity, respect, and the pursuit of

personal and team excellence. Ultimately, our students participate in robotics competition to apply and demonstrate their skills, to lead by example, encouraging the involvement of their peers and furthering the mission of the organization.

NorthShore Robotics isn’t just teaching kids how to build robots.

We’re helping build the future workforce of Louisiana.

A recent article highlighted something we’ve been seeing firsthand for years: the gap between STEM jobs and STEM-ready students continues to grow.

The solution isn’t waiting until college.

The solution starts when kids are 5, 8, 10, and 15 years old—when they’re discovering engineering, problem-solving, teamwork, programming, leadership, and critical thinking for the first time.

That’s why NorthShore Robotics provides FREE robotics teams for students throughout Southeast Louisiana.

But we can’t do it alone.

If you work for a company—or know someone who does—that believes in investing in the next generation, we’d love to start a conversation.

The students learning today will become the employees, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow.

And if it resonates with you, please share it. Every share helps us reach another potential partner who can help us make an even bigger impact.

This isn’t just a hiring challenge, it’s a systems problem.

🤖 VEX Wednesday: You Can Be a VEX Robotics Coach!

When people hear “robotics coach,” they often picture an engineer, programmer, or someone who has been building robots their entire life.

The truth? Most of our coaches started with zero robotics experience.

Our VEX IQ teams are designed to be student-led. Coaches aren’t there to have all the answers. They’re there to ask questions, encourage teamwork, help students stay on track, and celebrate those “Aha!” moments.

What does it take to be a coach?

✅ Meet with a team once a week (about 3 hours)
✅ Be willing to work with kids ages 5–15
✅ Be willing to learn alongside your students
✅ Believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore STEM

That’s it.

We provide training, resources, experienced mentors, and a community of coaches who are always willing to help. You’ll never be expected to do it alone.

As we welcome new students after STEM Fest, our biggest need isn’t robots, it’s caring adults willing to invest a few hours each week in the next generation.

You don’t need to know robotics.

You just need to care about kids.

🤖 After seeing so many kids light up when they got their hands on the robots at STEM Fest, we thought today would be the perfect time to tell you a little more about what happens after the event ends.

For many of our students, NorthShore Robotics becomes more than just a robotics team—it becomes a second home. It’s a place where they build friendships, gain confidence, solve problems, learn teamwork, and discover they can do hard things.

🚀 We offer FREE competitive robotics teams for students ages 5-15.

Current team meeting options:
📅 Thursday (daytime homeschool teams)
📅 Saturday teams
📅 Sunday teams

No robotics experience? No problem! Our students learn everything from building and programming robots to working together as a team. Whether your child loves technology, building things, problem-solving, or just making new friends, there’s a place for them here.

We’re currently building teams for the upcoming season and would love to meet your family!

Because sometimes all it takes is one robot, one coach, and one team to change a child’s future. ❤️🤖
