We hope to inspire happy, confident achievers.

The mission of NorthShore Robotics is to encourage and foster a passion for STEAM education in our students and community. We enable our students through exploration of STEAM subjects in the world around us and through lessons in programming, designing, building and application of the engineering process. We encourage a culture of camaraderie, determination, positivity, respect, and the pursuit of personal and team excellence. Ultimately, our students participate in robotics competition to apply and demonstrate their skills, to lead by example, encouraging the involvement of their peers and furthering the mission of the organization.

🏆🤖 Behind Every Award Is a Story, and Our Judges Get to Hear Them All!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible judges, especially the amazing team at Integrity Computer Services, who continue to step up and support NorthShore Robotics and our young innovators! ❤️

What many people don't realize is that judging a VEX Robotics competition involves so much more than watching robots compete!

Our judges dedicate their time to reviewing students' engineering notebooks ahead of the competition, learning about the design process, the challenges teams faced, and how they worked together to overcome them.

Then comes one of the BEST parts... getting to sit down with the kids and hear their stories firsthand!

They hear about the robots that didn't work, the designs that had to be completely rebuilt, the ideas that seemed impossible, and those incredible moments when everything finally clicked!

And sometimes, the most impressive part isn't the robot they built. It's the confidence, creativity, teamwork, and determination they developed along the way.

These conversations give our students an opportunity to explain their thinking, share what they've learned, and take pride in their hard work. For many, it's also a chance to practice communicating their ideas with professionals who genuinely want to hear what they have to say.

To Integrity Computer Services and ALL of our wonderful judges, THANK YOU for giving your time, sharing your expertise, and recognizing the hard work happening behind the scenes.

You aren't just helping us select award winners. You're helping our kids see the value in their ideas, their efforts, and themselves. 💙🤖

🏆🤖 Behind Every Great Robotics Competition Is an AMAZING Team of Referees and Scorekeepers!

We want to give a HUGE thank you to our incredible Head Referee, Yvette Hill, and all of the amazing referees and scorekeepers from the Springfield High School Bulldogs and Southeastern Northshore STEM Center who stepped up to help make our Spooktacular Robotics Competition such a success! 💙💛

What many people may not realize is that hosting a VEX Robotics competition takes more than robots, fields, and excited kids! It takes trained and certified volunteers who understand the game, keep scoring fair and accurate, and help our young competitors understand the rules along the way.

And that last part is SO important! ❤️

At NorthShore Robotics, competitions aren't just about winning trophies. They're about learning, growing, problem-solving, and building confidence. Our referees play such an important role in that experience by answering questions, explaining rulings, and helping students learn from every match.

We truly could not host these competitions without people willing to dedicate their time, knowledge, and energy to making these opportunities possible for our kids.

Yvette, Springfield High School Bulldogs, and Southeastern's Northshore STEM Center, THANK YOU! Your support makes a difference far beyond the competition field, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our robotics community! 🤖❤️

Yesterday’s NorthShore Robotics competition left us with tired feet and VERY full hearts! 💙🤖

We welcomed brand-new families, watched kids put their hard work into action, and saw experienced families step in to help others. That’s the community that keeps NSR growing and creates more opportunities for kids to explore STEM!

Sponsoring not one, but TWO NorthShore Robotics competitions this year is an incredible investment in our young problem-solvers, and we are so grateful!

With 30 amazing teams registered and hundreds of family members and friends coming to cheer them on, our upcoming Spooktacular is shaping up to be the LARGEST robotics competition in the greater New Orleans area! Behind every robot are kids taking the lead: designing, building, coding, testing, and figuring out what to try when something doesn’t work. This is 100% kid-led learning, with teamwork and determination powering every step.

Exciting things are happening for the future of STEM education in Louisiana! 🤖

NorthShore Robotics was grateful to be part of the recent meeting with the St. Tammany Legislative Delegation and local community leaders.

We had the opportunity to share our vision for expanding access to STEM education, building stronger community partnerships, and creating pathways that connect today's students with tomorrow's workforce.

What started as a small robotics club has grown into something much bigger, and we're excited about the opportunities ahead!

A huge thank you to our legislators and community leaders for taking the time to listen, collaborate, and invest in conversations about the future of Louisiana's youth.

We're not just building robots. We're building futures! 💙

💻 NorthShore Robotics is looking for donated laptops!

We’ve partnered with James Samaritan to bring robotics to young people in its foster care programs. The students have equipment to build their robots, and additional laptops would give more of them the chance to learn coding and test their ideas firsthand.

We’re looking for working, gently used laptops with chargers that can connect to Wi-Fi and run a web browser. If your business is replacing devices or has a few ready for a new purpose, we’d love to put them to work with these students.

Please message us if you may be able to donate a laptop or connect us with someone who can. A device sitting in storage could become a student’s first chance to write code and see a robot respond. 🤖

Yesterday, we delivered four teams’ worth of robotics equipment to James Samaritan, and it was so much more than a delivery. 💙

For children in foster care, life can hold far too much uncertainty. Homes may change. Schools may change. The adults around them may change. James Samaritan works to ensure these young people are surrounded by something steady: a community that sees their potential, supports their dreams, and reminds them that their circumstances do not define their future.

This summer, these incredible kids participated in our SeaPerch program and they didn’t just enjoy it. They excelled. We heard how they problem-solved, collaborated, built, tested, and kept trying when something didn’t work. They showed us exactly what they were capable of when given the opportunity.

Bringing VEX Robotics to them was the obvious next step.

Yesterday, four new teams received the equipment they need to begin that journey. But those boxes held more than robots and competition pieces. They held new challenges to conquer, teammates to depend on, skills that can open doors, and another powerful reminder:

You are capable.
You belong here.
Your future is worth investing in.

We could not have made this moment possible without the generosity and support of Just One Voice, Global Robotics & Science Foundation , J. Edgar Monroe Foundation and VEX Robotics. Thank you for believing in these young people and helping us place opportunity directly into their hands.

We cannot wait to watch these teams build more than robots. They are building confidence, community, and a future filled with possibilities.
