One more day until the 23rd Annual Holiday of Lights! We can't wait to see you there! And if you are hungry - check out this weekend's food trucks!

We have some incredibly delicious local food trucks that will be serving at this weekend's Holiday of Lights presented by WDSU News!

Creole Tomateaux and Yum Yum Gimme Sum Mobile Food Truck/ Snowballs will be attending the opening night of the Holiday of Lights on Friday, December 2, from 6 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. The Rustic Press will be attending the festivities on Saturday, December 3, from 6 p.m. through 8 p.m.

All food trucks will be directly behind the Holiday of Lights stage on Koop Drive.

President Mike Cooper and the Tammany Trace Foundation are excited to announce WDSU-TV will be the Presenting Sponsor for the Holiday of Lights, a yuletide celebration on Koop Drive in December.

“WDSU has been a tremendous partner for our community, in providing accurate, timely information for more than 70 years,” said President Cooper. “We are elated to welcome WDSU to our team in bringing the magic of the Holiday of Lights, in its full glory, back this December. We look forward to our families making memories on Koop Drive, which is made possible in part, by WDSU.”

“The Holiday of Lights has been a tradition in St. Tammany Parish for more than two decades,” said WDSU President and General Manager Mike Neelly. “WDSU is thrilled to partner with the Tammany Trace Foundation to help welcome back the festival and to be a part of such a wonderful holiday celebration in our community.”

The Holiday of Lights will kick off its celebrations with an opening parade on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 6 p.m. Performances featuring talent from within our community will take place December 2, 3, 9 and 10 at Koop Drive in Mandeville.

When visiting the Koop Trailhead, make sure to check out the Children's Museum of St. Tammany! Yesterday they had a great educational field trip for students. CMST will also be open during the Holiday of Lights weekends for those interested in enjoying what the museum has to offer!

Parish President Mike Cooper, in partnership with the Tammany Trace Foundation, is overjoyed to announce the revitalization of the Holiday of Lights, a yuletide celebration in December on Koop Drive.

“The Holiday of Lights brought immense joy to our families for many years,” said President Cooper. “We are so excited to bring back the magic and jubilation, while giving our families a local celebration of the holiday season. I look forward to the festivities, including food, musical talents of our children, and of course, Santa Claus, returning to Koop Drive in December.”

The festivities start on Friday, December 2, 2022 with an opening parade at 6 p.m. Performances will take place on December 2, 3, 9 and 10.

“The Holiday of Lights has been a staple in St. Tammany Parish for more than two decades,” said Bruce Wainer, President of the Tammany Trace Foundation. “I am proud of the efforts taken to return the celebration to full glory. We welcome all families, friends and visitors to the Holiday of Lights to spread holiday cheer together.”
