Operation We Care

10/03/2026

We have sad news to share with regards to a very dedicated and long time volunteer of Operation We Care.

Mr. Jim Fouts passed away this week, he will be greatly missed as our main "tape man" at the end of the monthly box packing line.

He was always very instrumental in getting a lot of funds from St. Timothy of the Northshore Church to help with the high cost of postage used to mail out the monthly packages.

His service is Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at St Timothy of the Northshore, 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, LA 70471.
Visitation is 10am to 11am and Celebration of Life is 11am to 12pm at the same location.

On Saturday September 26th, St. Peter Catholic School in Covington, LA collected, delivered and sorted donated goods to send to our serving Troops overseas. THANK YOU to ALL who made this possible!

These goods are items that the troops have requested because they are hard to get where they are stationed. Plus they know that they are being thought about when they receive each box packed especially for them.

If you or someone you know has a family or friend in the service overseas please check out our website to be able to add their name to the list of monthly packages we send.

Thank you, www.OperationWeCare.com Mandeville, LA

This year Nonna Randazzo's Bakery in Covington, LA celebrated their 20th anniversary by giving back to the community $20,000 in grants!
Operation We Care was the honored recipient of one out of 23 other non profit groups who had sent in an application.
We are truly grateful and blessed to have been among the chosen to receive a $500 grant on behalf of Nonna Randazzo's Bakery to help support our mission of sending donated supplies monthly to our serving and deserving Troops overseas!
We also thank our volunteers who were beneficial in seeing this opportunity and submitting an application on our behalf.

We are thankful for Belk Department Store in Covington, La this weekend. They had a charity event for big discounts and made it possible for folks to donate and discover our great Non Profit group, Operation We Care. We were able to get donations over a two day time period of $1,072! We can sure use these funds for the increased amount of postage we have each month.
Thank you to everyone who was at Belk and made a donation and especially Thank YOU to our dedicated volunteers who show up and make this happen, Teri and Donald Kliebert, Yvette Cardinale, Susan Deslattes and Ann Davis.
