We are thankful for Belk Department Store in Covington, La this weekend. They had a charity event for big discounts and made it possible for folks to donate and discover our great Non Profit group, Operation We Care. We were able to get donations over a two day time period of $1,072! We can sure use these funds for the increased amount of postage we have each month.
Thank you to everyone who was at Belk and made a donation and especially Thank YOU to our dedicated volunteers who show up and make this happen, Teri and Donald Kliebert, Yvette Cardinale, Susan Deslattes and Ann Davis.

We are so excited to announce that we have received a big donation of Girl Scout cookies to send to our troops.

A BIG Shout out and thanks to Lakeview Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for the much appreciated donation we received yesterday. We are so grateful and appreciative to everyone involved in making this happen.
We were nominated and selected to receive a $5,000 donation! This donation will go a long way to help mail the monthly care packages we send to our Troops overseas.

Thank you to the wonderful ladies of Pierre de Mandeville NSDAR for all the donation of goods for the care packages sent monthly to the soldiers overseas every month!
Special thanks to our volunteers Teri and Donald and our OWC President Brenda for picking up and dropping off the donations.

April 23rd we got a surprise donation of good for the soldiers from the Project Patriot committee of Pierre de Mandeville NSDAR! Thank you for always taking the time to help Operation We Care, we appreciate all you do.
Special appreciation to the volunteers who picked up and delivered the "goods", Donald, Teri and Brenda our President.

On Thursday January 15th Operation We Care sent out 100 Kingcakes decorated Red, White and Blue to our Troops overseas.
This was all made possible with the help of donations from our supporters, donations from Randazzo's Camellia City Bakery in Slidell, LA, use of the Davis-Moran VFW Post 8290 in Lacombe, LA, all of wonderful volunteers who showed up and the great folks at the United States Post Office in Lacombe, LA who sent these Kingcakes on their way. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE for making this possible.

Operation We Care would like to acknowledge and thank our long time supporter - Colleen Smith and her family.
Colleen is our official spokesperson at our annual King Cake send to the Troops event and we couldn't have a better person.
She is the one who contacts the news crews and gives the best presentation on TV!
