Our friends over at VIA LINK, Inc./2-1-1 are hosting ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training) for FREE on November 5th and 6th in Slidell! Many of our staff and community members are already trained in this life-saving curriculum.

NAMIWalks was just a few weeks ago, but we are still smiling about all the fun! We wanted to give a special shout out to our friends at AFX PRO who always help to add a little extra magic to Walk Day by supplying bubbles and a t-shirt gun. 😍 Definitely fun for every age group.

Thanks to Kim Carver - State Representative for your support of mental health care in our region. Development Coordinator Kathryn Burkenstock accepted the donation raised through Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co. Auctions in August. We are so grateful for not only the community support, but the awareness this helps to create.

🥰Wow! We are still soaking up every moment of this weekend's NAMIWalks event. We had 1,119 registered Walk participants who helped us to raise over $130,000 to support mental health care in our region. 🏃👟🐕

Grief can feel isolating, but we never have to walk through it alone. Creating spaces where we acknowledge loss, remember those we loved, and connect with one another matters.

Tomorrow (September 30th) Dine, Drama & Dance will feature "Can You Stand The Rain" as part of the Black Film Festival of New Orleans. This film follows a group of lifelong friends who re-unite after the sudden death of their childhood anchor, only to confront buried dreams, hidden tensions, long-held regrets, and the truth about who they have become.
