Located in Lewiston, our College Street Center is a warm, nurturing space where our youngest learners can play, explore, build relationships, and grow every day.

At College Street, we currently offer:

✨ FREE 6-hour Early Head Start programming for infants & toddlers
✨ 1 Full-Day Early Head Start classroom *(tuition/fees apply)*
✨ 1 Part-Year Head Start preschool classroom

🦋 Connor’s Pre-K students have been learning all about butterflies!

Over the past few weeks, our classroom has been watching the butterfly life cycle up close—from caterpillars to butterflies. The children have loved checking on them each day and seeing how much they change and grow.

This week they had the chance to gently hold the butterflies before they were released. There were lots of smiles, curiosity, and excitement as everyone got a closer look.

Hands-on experiences like this help children learn about nature, growth, and caring for living things in such a meaningful way—and this one has been extra special to watch. 💛

At Hillview, children explore through hands-on learning, build friendships, strengthen school readiness skills, and spend their days in classrooms full of curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Hillview currently offers:
🍎 A Pre-K collaboration classroom serving Lewiston 4-year-olds
🍎 A Head Start preschool classroom serving children age 3

Head Start enrollment is available for families who:

✔️ Have a child who meets age requirements for the program

Please note: Children who are age 5 must turn 5 after October 15th to enroll and may not already be kindergarten eligible.

☀️ Warm Weather Is Here! 🌿

Dressing for Maine weather can be challenging this time of year chilly mornings can quickly turn into warm afternoons! As temperatures continue to rise, we encourage families to dress children in light, comfortable layers that can easily be removed throughout the day.

A few warm weather reminders:
👕 Lightweight clothing is best
🧢 Sun hats are always encouraged
💧 Water play and outdoor activities mean children may get warm quickly
🧥 Heavy jackets and thick layers are typically no longer needed during the day

Our goal is to help children stay comfortable, active, and safe while enjoying all the fun that comes with spring and summer at Promise! 🌼

This May, our classrooms were filled with sweet smiles, curious minds, and the cozy smell of homemade soup 🍲💚

After reading The Ugly Vegetables, our little learners discovered that beauty comes in all shapes, colors, and sizes—just like the vegetables in our story! Inspired by the book, we brought the pages to life by making our very own vegetable soup together. 🥕🥔🧅

From tiny hands washing vegetables, to careful stirring, tasting, and sharing with friends, every moment was filled with wonder, teamwork, and pride. Watching their faces light up as they said “We made this!” was pure magic. ✨

May has already been full of meaningful moments, hands-on learning, and memories being made one story, one recipe, and one smile at a time. 💚

What a wonderful evening at Promise’s Annual “Books, Books, Books” Literacy Event! 📚✨Thank you Lewiston Public Library for hosting us!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our Promise families who joined us and helped make this event so special. Seeing families come together to share a meal, enjoy hands-on activities, celebrate the joy of reading, and create meaningful memories is exactly what Promise is all about.

Our Promise Pre-K program at Connors held a sledding event last night! Families came with their children and went sledding with their teachers! Everyone had so much fun! ❄️🥰⛄
