As we head into a new season, there’s plenty to celebrate—and plenty of ways to be part of it!

𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! Lessons begin in September, so now is the time to reserve your spot.

Thank you, Hannaford-Sabattus Street! We’re incredibly grateful to be the beneficiary of Hannaford’s Community Bag Program this month. Every bag purchased helps support the work of YWCA Central Maine and our community.

Our classrooms are growing! We’re excited to welcome new students to our preschool and after-school programs as a new school year gets underway. We’re thrilled to have these children and families become part of the YWCA community!

And something new! This September, we’re offering a 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 for young people ages 11–16. It’s a great opportunity for kids to build confidence, learn valuable skills and get ready to take on their first babysitting jobs.

From the pool to the classroom and everything in between, there’s always something happening at the YWCA!

Celebrating Our YWCA Team!

Yesterday was all about our people! We gathered for a staff retreat filled with connection, reflection, learning, and plenty of laughs—and took time to celebrate some truly outstanding members of the YWCA team with our annual staff awards.

Every day, our staff show up with compassion, dedication, and a commitment to strengthening our community. We’re so grateful for the energy and heart they bring to their work and to the people we serve.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to Chris Trout - our guest trainer- and Big D’s for a yummy lunch!

What better way to celebrate our final day than with a photo full of YWCA smiles—and the amazing person who helps make it all happen!

Right smack dab in the middle is Miss Crystal, our Childcare Director, who pours so much heart, energy, and love into our kiddos and our programs all year long. We’re so grateful for her leadership and for the incredible team who helped make this summer one to remember!

To all our campers: thank you for the laughs, adventures, friendships, and memories.
