Open Farm Day at Liberation Farms is this Sunday, July 26, from 11 AM–2 PM! 🌱
The farm season is in full swing. Our Iskash*to commercial growers have been harvesting greens, scallions, and beets for weeks, and now squash, cucumbers, and the farmer favorite, amaranth, are ready for harvest too.

Meanwhile, the goats are happily grazing in the fields, and we’ve just welcomed 100 baby chicks to the farm!

Come spend the day with us to learn more about Liberation Farms, enjoy delicious Somali snacks, purchase LF veggies, and meet the goats and chicks. We can’t wait to see you there!

Last week the growing season officially began at Liberation Farms with the annual Spring Blessing event! A tremendous thank you to all who joined us on the farm to celebrate! We are so honored for the continued support of our many partners, neighbors, and friends and grateful for community members who prepared the delicious food and shared reflections of why the farm is important to them.

Thank you to MEHAF for supporting the event and , , and for tabling and sharing information about their vital work. We’re also incredibly grateful for our volunteer peacekeepers, who maintained a welcoming and safe space for all.

Here’s to a season of abundance!

You can still support Liberation Farms, , and this season by donating to the Immigrant Farmer Fund!

In response to federal funding cuts last year, the Immigrant Farmer Fund was launched to help our programs continue providing vital food access to communities across Maine while ensuring immigrant farmers are paid fair wages for the produce they grow.

For Liberation Farms, these funds make it possible to distribute culturally appropriate food through our community partners, including , and . We’re excited to welcome , , and as new food access partners this year.
