Honored to attend the opening ceremony for the first-ever joint IAFC - International Association of Fire Chiefs Fire Rescue Med and Community Risk Reduction Leadership Conference in Glendale, Arizona this past week. Bringing these two important sections together reflects exactly what my campaign for IAFC 2nd Vice President is centered on — Unity. Purpose. Progress.

When we break down silos, collaborate across disciplines, and focus on the full spectrum of service we provide our communities, we move the fire service forward together while providing greater value to our members. This conference is a great example of that vision in action.

I am grateful for the many conversations, encouragement, and continued support from so many throughout this journey. Every opportunity to listen, learn, and engage with members across the fire service continues to reinforce why I am passionate about serving this profession.

I remain hopeful to earn your vote for IAFC 2nd Vice President so I can continue serving the membership in this new capacity and work alongside all of you to help shape the future of the IAFC and the fire service.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to something greater than themselves should continue to inspire all of us to lead, serve, and support one another with purpose.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers who lead, support, encourage, and inspire those around them each and every day.

A very special Happy Mother’s Day to my wife, Dr. Karrie Snider, my mother Patty, and my mother-in-law Fran. Each of them has played an incredible role in keeping our family grounded, connected, and moving forward together through every season of life.

Their strength, compassion, guidance, and unwavering support are constant reminders that true leadership often happens quietly behind the scenes. They each embody what it means to keep those around them unified in purpose and always progressing forward.

Today, and every day, I am grateful for all they do for our family and everyone fortunate enough to know them.

Day 3 of voting is coming to an end, and I continue to be incredibly appreciative of everyone who has reached out to let me know they’ve voted. Your support, encouragement, and belief in this campaign truly mean a great deal.

While voting continues through June 10th for my campaign to become your next IAFC - International Association of Fire Chiefs 2nd Vice President, I was able to take a brief break this evening and spend some time with my youngest son, Brady, attending the Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Iowa Hawkeyes baseball game to watch one of Brady’s childhood friends compete.

After a busy week on the campaign trail, I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to wrap up the workweek than spending time with family, reconnecting with great memories, and enjoying the game together.
