Our planned speakers for our monthly guild meeting this Thursday, March 26 had to cancel due to a family death. We send them our condolences in this sad time and we send our love to help them through it.

Our own Linda Tyrrel will be presenting a trunk show of her beautiful quilts!

I look forward to seeing everyone. If you’re interested in visiting, please come introduce yourself! It’s so much fun to share our talents and our love of quilting!!!

Meetings are held at Grace United Methodist Church’s main chapel in Lee’s Summit MO from 6:30pm to 8-8:30pm.

Tonight is the first meeting of the new year. Come and hear about Jodie Land's quilt journey with Project Linus and Jeanine Snyder's new role as Project Linus Coordinator. No fee for guests tonight so a perfect chance to check out the guild.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Lee's Summit Missouri.

The program for this month's Nimble Thimbles guild meeting is a trunk show by Jane Deskis. She will share her collage, pixel and weaving quilts.

The guild meets Thursday, July 24 at 6:30pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Visitors are welcome for a $5 fee.

Sherry Whetstone, Fiber Artist and Instructor, will be sharing her expertise on Kawandi quilts at our next guild meeting. The meeting is at Grace United Methodist Church at 6:30. Guests are welcome for a $5 fee.

Kawandi quilts, created by the East African Siddi women who reside in India, are made by piecing together geometric shapes of repurposed clothing or fabric scraps. Each piece of fabric is bound together with a basic running stitch. This very unique type of quilting uses the quilt as you go method but with an interesting twist!

This should be an interesting program!

Our guest speaker for the next guild meeting is Michelle Elrod. She will be presenting "Using Antique Linens in Quilts in a Modern Way" on March 27 at 6:30pm. Visitors are welcome for a $5 fee. We meet at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lee's Summit.

If you have vintage linens tucked away, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to give them new life in your quilting projects. Michelle’s expertise will inspire us to blend the beauty of the past with contemporary quilt design.
