Shared by Staff: "Two weeks ago, a guest asked me to pray for her because she got an apartment and the inspection was taking forever. I prayed for her, and the following week, I saw her and I asked about the progress, and she said it was about the same. So, I encouraged her to stay in faith and that I was believing God with her. The next time I came to work she was gone. She had moved into her new apartment, Praise the Lord!"

Mission Moment: 11/11 Raising the Flag. Wednesday, November 11, at 8 AM, we will be celebrating Veterans Day by raising the Flag and sharing a time of prayer at our single adult shelter (415 W. Mission Manna 🍽: Dinner the other night was Sausage Jambalaya (with a non-pork option of Chicken). There were also the usual sides, including cake from our kitchen. The meal was well received, and we were able to serve 225 women, children, and men coming to the Mission that night. We are so grateful for the creativity of our cooks, feeding hundreds of people every day from a variety of donations received from YOU, our fellow rescuers. Truly, together we are meeting needs. 💙

Randy Barton, our executive director, recently had the opportunity to speak at Lake Lansing Baptist Church as part of their mission's emphasis month. We are so grateful for the many local churches who have supported the Mission for many years. We were also grateful for the warm welcome at LLBC.

Shared by staff: "I had the opportunity to preach one night and I mentioned a man that God transformed by the power of the Gospel. I mentioned his name, thinking that nobody would remember him. However, a childhood friend knew him and testified, “Now it was a miracle that Randy was sober.” That is true! Thank you for transformation and eternal life. Thank you that Jesus Saves."

Mission Manna: The other night, we served Assorted Tajin Chicken, Rice Pilaf (Cilantro Lime) and Corn or Mixed Veggie Blend or Baby Carrots (depending on location). Dinner count was 253! Reviews came back "Good"! As always, we recognize that each meal truly is a gift, and it takes so much heart and so many hands working together to provide food, shelter, and hope. Thank you! 💙
