🎳 Volunteers Needed for the State Bowling Tournament! 🎳

Special Olympics Michigan is looking for volunteers who are willing to serve as lane volunteers for the State Bowling Tournament on October 29th and 30th!

Having a volunteer assigned to each lane is a great way to support our athletes and help the tournament run smoothly. Lane volunteers will:

📝 Help tally scores throughout the competition
🎳 Assist with keeping things moving on the lane
🏅 Help ensure athletes remain on the lane after the final frame for their medal presentation

Important information:
When signing up, the registration system asks volunteers to commit to the full day. We are asking volunteers to select Traditional or Unified based on the division they will be volunteering with.

Each volunteer who signs up will receive a volunteer T-shirt and lunch for the day!

If you are a parent, chaperone, family member, coach, or simply someone who would like to support our athletes, we would love to have your help!❤️

The interview covers the positive impact these events have on Special Olympics athletes in the Ingham County Community. As a participant himself, Chief Southworth also discusses how participating can contribute to a healthier balance of hope and goodness when compared with some of the heavier aspects of working in law enforcement.

We had so much fun pulling the Dean Transportation Bus! Here are the pictures from the photographer. Thank you so much Dean Transportation for hiring this person and being our supporting sponsor.

Congratulations to everyone who came out and pulled a Dean Transportation Bus! All the teams were amazing and raised $27, 500. Thank you so much! Here are some results:
Team raising the most money was Dean Transportation. Individual raising the most money was Jessica Parsons.
Best Team Spirit/Costume was Area 8 All Stars.
Fastest All Male Team pulling at 9.49 seconds was G.O.A.T. Slowest All Male Team pulling at 9.83 seconds was Area 8 All Stars. Fastest All Female Team pulling at 23.60 seconds was J-Crew. Fastest Co-Ed Team was American Rheinmetall pulling at 9.92 seconds. Slowest Co-Ed Team pulling at 28.82 seconds was Star Shooters.
What an amazing day. Thank you to everyone involved and a huge thank you to Dean Transportation and Grand Ledge Public Schools.
