Today is Purple Heart Day.

The medal traces its roots to 1782, making it one of the oldest military decorations in the world. Every one ever pinned represents a wound carried, or a life given, in service to this country.

To the Purple Heart recipients in our communities, and to the families who carry that sacrifice with them: we see you, we honor you, and we will never forget.

This summer is flying by……hard to believe it’s August already. We have been busy getting back to school bags for Lansing area kids and will be gearing up for our holiday fundraiser. Enjoy this first day of August!

School supply bag shopping began today……still have some more to get but this is a great start!
