Join us in helping disadvantaged Ugandan children to pass their 7th grade National Primary Leaving Exam (PLE) by the Uganda National Examination Board, a critical milestone in their educational journey determining whether or not a student can advance to a quality Secondary School.
In Uganda, education is a fundamental pathway for children living in rural villages to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their families. The reality is, however, that many of the children living in rural Uganda often lack the resources and support they need to prepare and pass their PLE, compared to their peers who live in the cities.
To address this challenge, Kigezi Women and Children Health Initiative is launching a project aimed at providing children living in the villages of Kakore and Nangara with the resources and support they need to prepare for the PLE. The project involves 4 weeks of intensive tutoring, revising past exams by qualified elementary school teachers, and accessing resources like textbooks and study materials. The project will take place in August 2023.

Your donations will cover the costs for teachers’ salaries, study materials, rent of the facilities where the training will take place, and the meals for the students.
Education is the key to unlocking a better future for these students, and we must do everything we can to support them on their journey.
Any amount you can give is a step towards a better future for many children in South Uganda. Thank you. Venmo
