Gun Owners for Responsible Ownership

Gun Owners for Responsible Ownership We are gun owners, sportsmen, veterans, mothers and fathers, daughters and sons who seek reasonable and responsible solutions to preventing gun violence.

Founded in 2014, we envision an America where all are safe from gun violence, and where responsible We are gun owners, sportsmen, veterans, law enforcement professionals, mothers and fathers, daughters and sons seeking reasonable and responsible solutions to prevent gun violence. Our commitment to change arose from the December 2012 shooting at the Clackamas Town Center in suburban Portland, Orego

n. Two people were killed and a third wounded. All were strangers to the shooter, but to us they were family, friends and members of our community. We believe in protecting our Second Amendment rights, and in common-sense efforts to reduce gun violence and promote gun safety, including universal background checks to keep fi****ms out of the hands of dangerous people.

Family members who lost loved ones at Town Center honored their memory by becoming leaders in gun violence prevention efforts and were key to founding Gun Owners for Responsible Ownership to provide a voice for responsible gun ownership and common sense laws and regulations to help keep fi****ms out of the hands of those who would harm themselves or the community.
