Hello, Kingston! 🤍

My name is Kristen Campbell, and I am honored to be serving my second year as President of the Junior League of Kingston.

By day, I am a teacher at Kingston High School, dually certified in Mathematics and Special Education. I am also a private tutor, wife, and mom to two incredible boys who inspire me every day.

Serving as President was never something I had planned for myself, but through leadership opportunities both within and beyond the League, I was encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone and embrace the opportunity. Looking back, I am so grateful that I did.

The Junior League of Kingston is an organization that I care deeply about. I am incredibly proud of the impact our members make throughout the community and thankful to serve alongside such passionate, dedicated women—many of whom have become cherished friends.

As I begin another year in this role, I look forward to continuing our mission of service, leadership, and community impact. It is an honor to serve the community that means so much to me and my family.

One of the best opportunities Junior League offers its members is the chance to attend conferences like this one. Through the Association of Junior Leagues International, members from nearly 300 chapters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the UK come together to learn, collaborate, and grow as leaders. These conferences and leadership summits happen throughout the year in different cities and focus on everything from nonprofit leadership and community impact to membership growth, fundraising, advocacy, and building stronger Leagues.

This year, Junior League of Kingston was proud to send four incredible women to Indianapolis for the Annual Conference. They spent the weekend networking with Leagues from around the country, attending leadership sessions, exchanging ideas, and bringing back so much inspiration and knowledge to share with our membership. Hearing their takeaways afterward sparked meaningful conversations and helped kick off exciting new ideas as we begin planning for the next League year.

Opportunities like this are such an important reminder that Junior League is not just about volunteering locally, it’s also about developing women leaders, building lifelong connections, and learning from an incredible network of women doing impactful work in their communities every single day.

Did you know every year we kick off a new year of our Junior League with a June Picnic? It’s one of our favorite traditions — a chance to celebrate the year ahead of us, officially induct our new board members, and spend time together outside before summer begins.

Another thing we love about the League is that our calendar is intentionally family-friendly. July and August are typically lighter months without official GMM meetings, giving members time to enjoy summer with their families before we jump back into a full season of events and volunteering in September.

This picnic is also a special handoff moment as new leaders step into their roles and we welcome women interested in joining for the upcoming League year. If you’ve been curious about becoming a member, we’d love to meet you. DM us, email us through the link in bio, or fill out our interest form to learn more about our first meeting happening the first week of June.

🇺🇸 On Memorial Day, the Junior League of Kingston pauses to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the importance of service, community, and giving back.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we reflect on the true meaning of this day.

A look at our May Dinner — one of the most special nights of the Junior League year. A night to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished together as a League, recognize the incredible women who make it all happen, and reflect on the impact we’ve made in our community.

From honoring Volunteer of the Year, Rising Star, and our Active Sustainers, to awarding scholarships to local high school students, this evening is always such a meaningful reminder of what community and service can do. We shared a beautiful meal, welcomed inspiring guests and sustainers, and celebrated another year of showing up for our neighbors.

A huge thank you to our president, Kristen, for creating such a thoughtful and memorable evening for all of us. Truly one of the highlights of the year.

What an incredibly special day for our community. 💛

After more than 6 months of planning, our Junior League community baby shower came to life this weekend, originally spearheaded by the amazing Sharon, who we sadly lost earlier this year. Her heart was woven into every detail of this event, and we felt her presence throughout the entire day. This project meant so much to all of us.

Together, we were able to support 26 expectant mothers here in Kingston, some without stable housing, some without nearby family, and many who may not have otherwise experienced a baby shower of their own. Watching women come together to celebrate, support, and uplift one another was pure magic.

From gently used essentials to brand new car seats and thoughtfully curated goodie bags, every donation made a difference. Thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered, donated, decorated, organized, lifted boxes, wrapped gifts, and showed up with love.

A huge thank you to Paramount Photobooth for bringing such a fun and joyful element to the day, Salvation Army for generously providing the space, Kim for DJing, Christine for the gorgeous floral arrangements, Bess for the beautiful decor vision, Bruderhof for the stunning quilted blankets, and of course our incredible Junior League volunteers, committee members, and co-chairs. This truly could not have happened without every single one of you.

Community care is powerful. Kingston showed up in the most beautiful way. 🤍
