VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

One of our next volunteer opportunity is Americana and Ales on Saturday, June 20th. Midwest Music Foundation has been asked by the event organizers to assist with volunteers in return for a donation to MMF.

We need 20 volunteers for this event.

Americana and Ales is a one day music and beer festival on Saturday June 20.

Music will take place on a large mobile stage in the Shawnee City Hall Parking Lot and in The Aztec Theatre with 10 bands performing from 1 pm to 11 pm.

Friction Brewing in Shawnee is running the Beer Festival portion from 12pm-4pm.

This is on a World Cup Match Day which will be shown on a large LED screen. The music portion is completely free and has a family friendly/community atmosphere.

Music Across Borders and KC Jazz Alive are joining forces to open the 515 Music Hub — Kansas City's newest space dedicated to live music, artist development, and community. 🎵

Whether you're a solo artist, an ensemble, a band, or an educator, the 515 was built with you in mind. We're offering rehearsal space for local musicians AND performance opportunities on our live event stage this summer.

Here's what we're looking for:
🎸 Solo artists, bands, and ensembles of all genres
🎷 Educators and youth music programs
🎹 Musicians looking for affordable, accessible rehearsal space
🎤 Performers interested in booking a set at a live summer event
