We want to take a moment to give thanks to Cindy Siefers, whose Celebration of Life was held today.

This photo (Cindy to the far right) is from our VERY FIRST event, a staged reading of the play “Dads” by Derek Trautwein, in 2018.

Cindy left an indelible mark on the Kansas City theatre community. She was a roof that gave shelter (sometimes literally) to so many. Cindy was one of our earliest advocates, supporters, and a dear friend.

She will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Cindy.

We’re out of stuff! Thank you to all of the people who came to support free theatre! We will not be out the rest of the day or tomorrow. Stay tuned to learn more about Season 9.

Seriously. Shop years of theater props, costumes, furniture, and wonderfully random backstage finds. Everything is pay what you can! Because that’s how we do things. Your donation helps KCPublic continue creating free professional theater.

At KCPublic, we believe new work development shouldn’t require artists to buy their way into the room. Whether you have a completed draft, 10 pages, or just the beginning of an idea, there’s a place for you to explore.
