The Educator Academy exists to cultivate & sustain empowered educators.

The Educator Academy is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 to improve student outcomes by preparing, certifying, and retaining highly effective teachers who are rigorously prepared and supported. We recruit individuals who are dedicated to making an equitable, antiracist education system a reality in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We work towards a future where every classroom is led by compassionate, highly effective, culturally and emotionally responsive educators. Partnering with school systems to build equitable communities, we aspire towards the day where all students are represented and have access to a high-quality education.

Ten years of preparing great teachers for Kansas City classrooms. And for this milestone year, we’re honored to have the Sherman Family Foundation standing with us as our Decade Sponsor for the Champions of the Classroom gala.

Partners like the Sherman Family Foundation make it possible for us to recruit, train, and support educators who show up for students every single day. Thank you for believing in this work and in the teachers who make it happen.

We can’t wait to celebrate together at The Guild on October 15!
