We’re outside every day, Monday through Thursday, helping grow food, build community, and care for our neighborhood.

Join us throughout the month of June from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Global One Urban Farming. Volunteers are welcome to help with planting, harvesting, weeding, garden maintenance, and community projects.

Whether you can stay for an hour or the full day, your support makes a difference.

Global One Urban Farming Is Growing!

Global One Urban Farming is seeking an experienced Farm Manager and volunteers to help us expand our impact in Kansas City’s urban core.

For nearly 10 years, our nonprofit has provided fresh food, agricultural education, youth development opportunities, and wellness programming in a USDA-defined food desert community.

We are grateful for the many volunteers, community leaders, and partners who have helped build Global One Urban Farming over the years. This new position reflects our continued growth and commitment to serving Kansas City families.

Farm Manager Responsibilities

* Crop planning and production management
* Volunteer coordination
* Greenhouse and high tunnel management
* Harvest scheduling
* Garden maintenance and organization
* Supporting educational programs and community events

At Global One Urban Farming, we believe education should be shared, experienced, and passed forward.

Through our partnership with Lincoln University Cooperative Extension, we are opening our farm gates to youth, college students, families, volunteers, and community groups to share the skills and knowledge we have learned through agriculture, nutrition, environmental stewardship, and community wellness.

Participants explore:
🌱 How food is grown from seed to harvest
🐝 The importance of pollinators and native plants
♻️ Composting and soil health
🥗 Nutrition and healthy eating
🌎 Environmental stewardship
🚜 Agricultural careers and leadership opportunities

Our goal is simple: help young people and families reconnect with where food comes from while building healthier communities and future leaders.

This summer, Global One Urban Farming will welcome more than 200 youth, college students, and volunteers through hands-on agricultural field trips, leadership programs, and service-learning experiences.

When we teach one person how to grow food, care for the environment, and support their community, the impact reaches generations.
