What a special evening at our annual Honors Night celebration!

We came together to recognize our graduating seniors, celebrate the induction of Andy Burczyk into our Hall of Fame, and award more than $50,000 in scholarships to help our Club members take their next steps toward bright futures!

Congratulations to our seniors, scholarship recipients, and Hall of Fame inductee. And thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the Great Futures of Kansas City kids and teens.

Celebrating the past, present, and future of Club excellence!💙

A surprise that made our day!

A big THANK YOU to the employees at State Street for organizing a surprise school supply drive for our Club kids!

From crayons and markers to notebooks, pencils, and more, these supplies will help keep creativity flowing and learning going at the Clubs.

Special thanks to State Street's employee groups, Reach and Professional Women's Network (PWN), for organizing the drive, and to everyone who contributed!

We love seeing our community come together for Kansas City kids! 💙

Last Friday, we wrapped up our all-staff professional development day with some well-deserved time to relax, laugh, and enjoy each other's company.

From Paint and Chew to shooting hoops, it was a chance to step away from our daily routines and just have fun together!

We spend a lot of time creating great experiences for our Club kids. This time, it was our staff's turn! 💙

Flashback Friday!

A little learning, a little laughter, and some friendly competition!

Last Friday, our Club staff came together for a day of professional development focused on what matters most — keeping our kids safe.

Sessions with MOCSA, Mandated Reporting, and A Shift in Perspective covered some important (and sometimes heavy) topics. So, after a full day of learning, we shifted gears to celebrate our amazing staff with some Paint and Chew fun and a little basketball!

Because taking care of the people who take care of our kids matters, too!

Once a Club kid, always a Club kid!

This morning, we welcomed Vanesa, a former Club member from our Hawthorne Unit, to share her story with our Board of Directors.

A two-time Missouri Youth of the Year and recipient of a Club Emerging Leaders Council (ELC) Scholarship, Vanesa is now a college graduate, working full time, and serving on the very council that helped support her journey!

When asked about her "why," Vanesa described the Club as a "safe space" and a "home away from home."

Now she's helping create opportunities for the next generation of Club kids. Talk about coming full circle! 💙

A big THANK YOU to JE Dunn Construction for giving our baseball fields at Cleveland Park some much-needed TLC!

Through their Build It Forward initiative, JE Dunn Construction volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help make improvements to the fields where our Club kids practice, play, and make memories.

We're grateful for community partners who give their time, talents, and resources to make a difference for Kansas City kids. 💙

We’re still smiling from last week! Our Dale Larson Family Day of Kindness & Sharing brought an amazing volunteer team from ALDI USA to our 15 and the Mahomies Unit for an afternoon full of creativity, connection, and giving back with our Club youth.

Together, they made Kindness Cards, Friendship Bracelets, and Kindness Pebble Rocks that will be donated to patients at Children's Mercy Hospital - a little reminder that a whole community is cheering them on.

Between crafts, everyone got in on some Kindness Bingo and a few spirited games of basketball. The smiles say it all!

Thank you to ALDI for showing up with such big hearts, and to our Club youth for reminding us that kindness is always worth sharing.

Every day at the Club is made up of little moments that can make a BIG difference. 💙
A homework question answered.
A new skill learned.
A high-five from a trusted adult.
A place to laugh, play, and just be yourself.
These are the moments that happen because our community shows up for our kids.
This October, help us keep creating more opportunities, more connections, and more Great Futures. 🫶

📸 Photo of the Week!

With the Independence School District closed on Mondays, our Independence Clubs are open all day, giving kids a place to learn, play, and connect.

This week, volunteers from ALDI USA joined the fun at our 15 and the Mahomies Unit, helping Club kids make jewelry and paint friendship rocks.

And just look at this Club member proudly showing off the necklace she's creating!

Just a snapshot of an ordinary Monday filled with the little moments that make a big difference!

Thank you to our friends at ALDI for spending the day with us!

Wearing pink. Standing with hope.

Our Club kids and staff are wearing pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
