13th Class of Hope Faith ' Clean Up KC 'GOT TO WORK!' 9 new crew members started today.

These hero's on their first day cleaned up:
1,150 lbs of trash
24 tires
a lot of cardboard
-tv
-couch..even a pool is not off the streets of Kansas City.

🏠 Lori never imagined she'd be growing older without a place to call home. Already in her seventies, she wondered if she could make it through another winter on the streets. Thanks to your support, Lori found warmth and community at our winter shelter. For a month and a half, she helped others—then one Friday announced: "I have to say goodbye. Hope Faith is looking for a Development Coordinator to help support our mission of Care, Rest, and Work for individuals experiencing homelessness in Kansas City.

This role includes community engagement, marketing, social media, volunteer coordination, fundraising support, CRM/database management. We’re looking for someone who is organized, creative, mission-driven, and passionate about serving others.

With more than 17 years of experience serving individuals experiencing homelessness, Shilo provides leadership and oversight for the programs that support our mission pillars: Care, Rest, and Work.

From Guest Services and community partnerships to program development, Shilo helps ensure every guest who walks through our doors is met with dignity, compassion, and support.

Just a few months ago, Dominique lost his job and was staying in shelters after becoming unhoused. In February, he joined the CUKC program and within just 3 weeks moved into shared housing.

Now, Dominique has officially been hired full-time by a local HVAC contractor company.

Today, he has both stable housing and permanent employment, proving that with support, opportunity, and determination, lives can truly change. We are so proud of you, Dominique! đź’™
