⚽ FIFA Fan Fest traffic & access changes are now underway around the National WWI Museum & Memorial through July 13, 2026.

Residents and visitors should expect:
• Road closures near Memorial Drive, Kessler Rd., and portions of Linwood Blvd.
• Restricted access zones near Liberty Memorial
• Limited parking in the immediate area
• Increased pedestrian and shuttle activity

If attending Fan Fest events, plan extra travel time and check official KC2026 traffic and transit updates before heading downtown.

Examples may include:
• Greenspace improvements
• Small business activation
• Community engagement activities
• Micro home improvement assistance initiatives

KCMO Waste Drop-Off Event, FREE and OPEN to all KCMO residents:
• Large Item/Bulky Trash drop-off
• Yard/Brush Waste drop-off
• Tire Disposal (with or without rims)
• Document Shredding
• Electronics Recycling; there are FEES to recycle tv's, monitors, and items with freon.
• this event includes Hazardous Household Waste Disposal (HHW)

HMPA is sharing an opportunity to support healthy food access for seniors in our community, Missouri Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.

Residents age 60+ may qualify for $50 in farmers market benefits + $20 match to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey this season.

Progress at Manheim Gardens

Appreciate everyone who came out and contributed to the ongoing work at the Conservancy. We’re making steady progress on the stairway and surrounding infrastructure.

Manheim Garden Conservancy – Work Weekend

As part of ongoing improvements at the garden, we’re hosting a Heavy Machinery Work Weekend focused on key infrastructure projects, including drainage repairs, staircase improvements, and retaining wall work.

Volunteers are welcome to support as they are able. Please review safety requirements and contact information in the flyer below if interested.
