On this date of July 25, 1923, Walt Disney filed bankruptcy for Laugh-O-gram Films, Inc. While the end of the road for his first professional animation studio right here in Kansas City before moving to LA, we are proudly bringing a new chapter to this historic building. On this date of April 22 in 1868, Walt Disney's mother Flora Disney was born in Steuben, Ohio. Her spirit greatly influenced Walt, whom often credited her for nurturing his imagination while living in Kansas City.
