Fabric Grab is T - 3 days away!

Get ready to round out your sewing notions, find fabric calling your name, and meet many new sewing friends at Fabric Grab.

We are excited that Harvesters and SCORE will be joining us this Saturday during Fabric Grab. Harvesters will have a table where you can fill out and get assistance for SNAP applications. SCORE will be there to talk with you about various business resources they have and their mentorship program. This will be a great time to get some more assistance for your daily life and make connections for any business goals you have in mind.

Applications for the next cohort of the Sewing Salon Training Program are open!

Are you interested in learning to become an industrial sewist?

The program consists of 30 weeks of classroom training followed by 2,000 hours of paid on-the-job training (roughly a year working full-time). Once you complete both phases, you will become a Certified Apprentice in Industrial Sewing Machine Operations through the U.S. Department of Labor.

It's Fabric Grab week!! We are busy today making sure that everything is ready for this weekend. Clear your weekend because Fabric Grab is Saturday, August 22nd from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at 526 Campbell St. in the gym above The Sewing Labs. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers, and get ready to get what you need. We will have all sorts of fabric for $5/pound, and patterns, sewing books, sewing machines, notions, yarn, and more priced as marked!

Did you know you can volunteer at Fabric Grab? You Can! Everyone volunteering at the event get their first 4 pounds of fabric free.

The Sewing Labs will be closed the rest of the afternoon and evening (8/13) due to circumstances out of our control. We are safe, and we'll see you tomorrow (8/14)!

We dropped a bunch of new classes for August and September. There is something for everyone including upcycling, pattern drafting, alterations, garments, shibori, and sashiko. Go check out all of the classes and claim your spot while you can! There are even classes starting this Saturday, 8/15.

Come see us at the Original Sewing & Quilting Expo in Booth 517.
