The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida is pleased to announce the appointment of Callan Brown as Chief Executive Officer. Callan has spent nearly a decade with the Nonprofit Center, taking on increasingly significant leadership roles. She has shaped many of the initiatives that are positioning our organization, and Northeast Florida’s nonprofit sector at large, for the future. Callan brings deep institutional knowledge, strong relationships across the nonprofit and philanthropic communities, and a commitment to helping organizations remain resilient in a rapidly changing environment. This appointment reinforces the Board of Directors’ strong confidence in her leadership ability, which was evident during her service as Interim CEO over the past several months.
Under Callan’s leadership, the Nonprofit Center will continue advancing its mission to Connect, Strengthen and Advocate while expanding its role as an essential infrastructure partner for the region’s nonprofit sector. The organization’s priorities include implementing a shared services program, growing resources and consulting services for sustained collaboration across the sector, strengthening the Center’s role as a trusted, nonpartisan convener and advocate for nonprofits, and developing and retaining the next generation of nonprofit leaders through initiatives such as the Community Coaching Network.
As we begin this new chapter, our focus remains on helping nonprofits build capacity, share resources and data, strengthen their leadership and explore new opportunities for collaboration. We are excited to have Callan lead this work and look forward to continuing to partner with our members, funders and community leaders to build a stronger, more resilient nonprofit sector across Northeast Florida.
