Today, , a global generosity movement, we are raising funds and awareness towards local "food deserts".

A food desert is a pocket of communities that have little or no access to healthy food within a mile of their home. Many of those communities do not have a car or accessible public transportation.

In 2021, USDA reported 38.3 million people are food insecure in America (Food Insecurity in the U.S.: Frequency of Food Insecurity) and EPA.Gov predicted that number to grow to 50 million in 2022. That would mean that 1 in 6.6 Americans struggle to eat daily.

All it takes is a seed
to change a community.

Do food deserts exist in the US?

It seems hard to imagine that people are going hungry right here in America, but it is happening. Part of our vision is to alleviate hunger by teaching people how to grow their own food and by giving access to food through our community garden we'll be building in the near future.
