Heads up, Downtown! 🚧🦺🔨

Beginning August 24, Main Street Bridge will undergo a partial closure affecting vehicular and pedestrian traffic as part of the Riverfront Plaza Main Street Bridge Nub Removal Project. This construction is the first step in making a permanent pedestrian connection from the Main Street Bridge to the new Riverfront Plaza.

Start Date: August 24, 2026
Anticipated End Date: January 2027

📍 Southbound lanes towards the Southbank will be reduced to one lane, and the southbound pedestrian walkway will be closed for the duration of construction. Please follow posted detour signage for rerouted access and utilize the northbound pedestrian sidewalk when walking into Downtown.
✅ Northbound traffic will remain open with two lanes throughout the project.

This work supports the ongoing Riverfront Plaza development at the former Jacksonville Landing site, part of the City's broader riverfront improvement efforts along the Downtown Riverwalk.

Motorists and pedestrians traveling between the Northbank and Southbank should anticipate delays and plan for alternate routes when appropriate. Dust today, better Downtown tomorrow.

It was an exciting morning on the St. Johns River as the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government officially cut the ribbon on Met Park Marina, Downtown's newest world-class amenity, giving boaters, diners, visitors and residents a brand-new way to enjoy everything Downtown Jacksonville has to offer. 🛥️ ⚓

The Ship Shop is open for business, and marina reservations are now available. The City of Jacksonville also marked the occasion by celebrating the debut of several other new public spaces at the Shipyards, including the Riverwalk Extension, the Marina Support Building and the Event Lawn.

Together, these additions create even more ways to experience the Sports and Entertainment District and the riverfront beyond it, reinforcing Downtown's momentum as a growing hub for business, culture and everyday life.

Congratulations to F3 Marina, the City of Jacksonville, Florida - Government and Shanna Collective on bringing this vision to the riverfront!
