True love isn’t flowers, candy, or one day in February as the world would have one think. 💝

Real love is patient when it’s hard, forgiving when pride wants to hold on, and committed even when feelings fade. That kind of love doesn’t come from a man made up holiday, it comes from Jesus.
He showed us what love truly is by giving His life for us, not because we earned it, but because we needed it. His love is steady every single day of the year.
If we want to love others well like our spouse, family, friends, even difficult people, we must first receive His love.

“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

In Alabama, 15% of the population, over 752,000 people rely on federal government assistance to help them buy food each month. Nearly 70% of that number are families with children. These Alabamians were issued notices saying they would not receive benefits in November from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, due to the government shutdown.
United Women of Color is doing our part to assist with food security by filling Little Free Pantries in Madison County, and you can help!
