SpringUp Ministries & Wellness Center Hosts Successful Inaugural 2026 Mental Health & Wellness Workshop, Empowering Teens to Thrive
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — SpringUp Ministries & Wellness Center proudly celebrated the success of its 1st Annual SpringUp 2026 Mental Health & Wellness Workshop on Saturday, July 18th, an inspiring event that brought together teens, mentors, volunteers, and community partners for a day focused on healing, hope, personal growth, and purpose.
Designed to address the emotional, mental, and spiritual challenges facing today's youth, the workshop provided a safe and encouraging environment where teens learned practical tools to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and navigate life's challenges with courage and hope.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive discussions and hands-on activities that encouraged them to recognize their value, express their emotions in healthy ways, and develop lifelong habits that support emotional well-being.
Participants learned practical strategies such as:
Building healthy self-esteem through daily affirmations.
Recognizing the importance of speaking positively about themselves.
Identifying trusted adults and learning when and how to ask for help.
Developing healthy communication skills.
Managing emotions during difficult seasons.
Understanding the importance of mental wellness and self-care.
Replacing negative self-talk with positive, life-giving thoughts.
Strengthening their faith through prayer, reflection, and biblical encouragement.
Learning practical strategies for navigating peer pressure, anxiety, stress, and life's everyday challenges.
Rather than simply discussing mental health, SpringUp Ministries & Wellness Center equipped participants with practical, everyday tools they could begin using immediately. Teens left with renewed confidence, healthier perspectives, and a greater understanding of how their thoughts, words, choices, and faith influence their emotional well-being.
The workshop also emphasized the power of developing a consistent prayer life as a source of strength, peace, wisdom, and resilience. Participants were encouraged to seek God daily, speak life over themselves, and embrace their identity as individuals created with purpose, value, and limitless potential.
"Our goal was never simply to host an event," said Kenyelle Raybon, Founder and Executive Director of SpringUp Ministries & Wellness Center. "Our mission is to create transformational experiences that empower young people to believe in themselves, build healthy relationships, develop resilience, and discover their God-given purpose. We want every young person to know they are seen, valued, loved, and never alone."
The workshop reflected SpringUp's holistic approach to youth development by addressing the emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual needs of every participant. Through mentorship, encouragement, interactive learning, engaging activities, and meaningful conversations, teens were reminded that asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.
Parents, volunteers, and community leaders praised the event for creating an atmosphere where young people felt safe to be authentic, ask questions, grow in confidence, and develop practical life skills they can carry into adulthood.
The success of the inaugural workshop reinforces SpringUp Ministries & Wellness Center's ongoing commitment to strengthening families, empowering youth, and cultivating healthier, hope-filled communities.
