🐾 Meet Mabel — the girl who just wants to be your sh***un rider. ❤️

Mabel is a 1-year-old mixed breed girl ready for her second chance.

She’s a total lover girl who wants to be wherever her people are — happily wagging her tail waiting for you to come back, riding sh***un on every errand, and soaking up all the attention she can get.

Update: Dumplin, Dox, and Dash have found wonderful homes!! Four cuties still waiting!🤞

🐾 SEVEN LITTLE MAGIC BEANS HAVE ARRIVED 🐾

Meet The Elmores—Darlin, Dumplin, Delilah, Dash, Dax, and Dox, and Dyno — seven possible Basset Hound mix puppies (4 boys, 3 girls) who were dumped at a rural shelter and are now living their absolute BEST lives with us. Short legs, big ears, bigger feelings. 🐶💕

These little goobers have already decided that a baby pool is the single greatest invention in the history of the world. Check the video in the comments — you will not survive the cuteness. 🎥💦

THE DEETS:

🩺 3 rounds of Parvo/Distemper vaccines — done

🪱 Dewormed — done

❤️ Started on heartworm, flea & tick prevention — done

💉 They’re too young for rabies yet, so their adopting vet will need to handle their rabies shot, final Parvo/Distemper booster, and continued heartworm/flea/tick care

Update: We hate to break the news to Ladybug but she has only gotten 23 shares!!😭 This girl deserves so much better!

Ladybug needs a soft place to land 💔

Two weeks ago, we took in a dog that promptly delivered 13 puppies. Thirteen. We were terrified for mom, so the next morning we put feelers out for any lactating dogs who might help her cope with such a huge litter.

That’s how Ladybug came to us — freshly delivered to a shelter, full of milk, but with no puppies of her own. We pulled her in case our overwhelmed mama needed backup.

She nursed when we asked her to, but it was clear right away — Ladybug had raised her babies and she really wanted to be done. She’s a social butterfly who lights up around people. We kept her just in case, and somewhere along the way, she stole all our hearts.

We couldn’t bring ourselves to send her back and we don’t have room for her either. But today we got hard news: Ladybug is heartworm positive. She needs treatment, and she needs somewhere safe and stable to heal.

This is our second dog needing this kind of help in two weeks, and treating a 60lb girl isn’t cheap. But Ladybug has already been through so much based on her condition when we got her— now it’s our turn to give to her.

She’s house trained, gets along great with other dogs, and absolutely adores people.

If you can foster or foster-to-adopt Ladybug while she heals, we will cover 100% of her medical costs and support you every step of the way.

Update: How are these still ALL available for adoption?🤷‍♀️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Local Puppies Stage Protest Over Lack of Couches to Claim 🚨

Four adorable troublemakers have officially filed a complaint: they are THREE MONTHS OLD and still waiting for their forever homes. That’s right — they missed the “tiny 8-week-old” hype train, and honestly? Rude. They still have puppy breath, puppy energy, and puppy-sized hearts that need a home JUST as badly (arguably more, since nobody’s fighting over who gets to hold them at the shelter anymore).

Meet the crew: 🐾

🐶 Two white and tan, floppy-eared, soulful-eyed professional snugglers. Both rock a “please love me” stare that should be studied by scientists.

🐶 Two black-and-white, sleek, striking, and already working on their “majestic statue” pose. Give it a few months and these two are going to be STUNNING.

Here’s the résumé, because these four mean business:

✅ Spayed/neutered

✅ Vaccinated against rabies

✅ Dewormed

✅ Microchipped

✅ Already working on potty training (they’re trying, okay?!)

✅ Great with other dogs, cats, AND kids

The tragic truth about “teenage” puppies: they’re old enough that they don’t get the 8-week-old spotlight, but young enough that they still need someone to teach them the rules, cuddle them through the awkward phase, and fall hopelessly in love with them. That someone could be you.

If this feels like déjà vu, it’s because it is. So many of these animals show up every Saturday, hoping this is the day their forever person finally comes through the door. All they’re asking is that you stop by, sit with them, say hello, and let them know they matter — that someone out there is meant for them. It only takes one person saying yes. 💛

We’ve also got LOTS of new faces today, including a bunch of adorable puppies! 🐶

And our three boarded dogs — Harley, Marni, and Katie — will be back again, still waiting, still hoping. Their adoption fees are still waived. Some have spent over a year in a concrete kennel. All they want is a real home to call their own.

At the beginning of this month we were contacted by another rescue asking for help with Lucky Girl… she was being dumped, along with others, by her breeder!

We posted her, approved an adopter and then waited for her spay appointment. She was suppose to go to her new home today after surgery, however, the adopter cancelled this morning and now she has no where to go this afternoon.

As if losing her new home wasn’t bad enough, we found out soon after that she is heartworm positive. So now it’s even more important that we get her into a foster or foster to adopt home ASAP so she can start her treatment.

It’s super easy, she just needs a soft place to land and meds given twice a day for 30 days. We provide everything, handle all the finances and the vet appointment.

She came to rescue after a breeder (thankfully) made the decision to stop breeding because they no longer had the time to care for their dogs. Meet this precious 6-pound senior girl who just left Huntsville Animal Services behind her forever! 🐾💕

This tiny Pomeranian was surrounded by big, loud dogs in a shelter kennel — no place for a sweet senior lady who just wants a soft blanket and someone to love her. Look at that face… she’s been through so much and deserves so much better.

She’s SAFE now, but her journey isn’t over.

💛 We need a FOSTER HOME to give her a soft place to land until we can get her into our vet for a full check-up, and then find her the forever family she deserves.

Meet Delores! ❤️

Delores is a sweet 17lb Australian Shepherd mix who is a little over 3½ years old. She can be shy at first, but once she gets comfortable with you, she is a very loving girl who enjoys being close to her people.

She does well with other dogs, cats, and kids. She loves going for walks, rolling around in the grass, and finding a comfy spot to relax. She also enjoys sitting in your lap once she trusts you.

Delores can be a little nervous around loud or unfamiliar sounds, so she likes having a quiet place where she can go when she needs a break. She walks well on a leash, with an occasional tug.

Delores may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she is a sweet and affectionate companion. She would love a patient family who will give her the time she needs to feel comfortable and let her personality come out. ❤️
