Recycled Cycles Of Texas

Recycled Cycles Of Texas Our Mission is to promote sustainable bicycle recycling by collecting, refurbishing, and donating bikes to underserved communities in and around Houston.

Every bike we save keeps waste out of landfills and puts smiles on faces. I'm Ferrell Surette and with over 45 years of bicycling I am now introducing a new concept as to how you will look at your old, unwanted bicycles.

🚲✨ Breathing new life into a 20+ year old BMX and giving it a second chance to ride again!

At Recycled Cycles of Texas, every bike, part, and donation helps us put more bicycles back into the hands of people in our community. No donation is too old, too worn, or too far gone—we recycle, repair, and repurpose whatever we can to make a difference.

If you have bicycles, parts, accessories, or cycling gear collecting dust, consider donating them and helping us keep the wheels turning for someone in need.

Together, we’re turning yesterday’s bikes into tomorrow’s rides. ❤️

For years, Recycled Cycles of Texas has been dedicated to providing bicycles, safety equipment, and support to individuals and families throughout our community. Every bike we refurbish and every event we attend is made possible through the generosity of supporters like you.

Today, we’re asking for your help with our next project: wrapping our supply trailer.

Our trailer is the backbone of our outreach efforts, transporting bicycles, tools, parts, helmets, and supplies to events, races, schools, and community programs. A professionally wrapped trailer will not only protect the trailer but also serve as a mobile advertisement for our mission, helping us reach more people in need and attract additional volunteers and donors.

We’re seeking donations of any amount to help offset the cost of the trailer wrap. Whether it’s $5, $25, or $100, every contribution brings us closer to our goal.

If you’ve ever supported our mission, donated a bicycle, volunteered your time, or simply believe in what we do, please consider making a donation and sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family.

Together, we can continue changing lives—one bicycle at a time.

Thank you for your support!

Hi everyone! I’m reaching out to share a cause that’s close to my heart. Recycled Cycles of Texas is dedicated to taking unwanted, used bicycles and giving them new life by donating them to underserved communities around Houston. We believe in promoting cycling safety and fostering community connections through this initiative. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal of providing free bikes to those who need them most. If you can’t contribute financially, sharing this post would mean a lot. Let’s work together to make a difference. Thank you for your support!

Recycled Cycles of Texas is raising funds to help wrap our supply trailer so we can better represent our mission throughout the community. This trailer allows us to transport bicycles, parts, tools, and equipment that help us serve riders and families across Texas.

Every donation—big or small—brings us one step closer to turning our trailer into a rolling billboard for our cause. Your support helps us increase awareness, attract new volunteers, and continue putting more bikes into the hands of those who need them most.

Thank you for supporting Recycled Cycles of Texas! ❤️🚴

PLEASE READ (more info)

We’re heartbroken to share this, but a few days ago our track was broken into they and stole equipment we depend on to run every single race day. They broke the lock and took our microphones, speakers, and the RAM system that drops our gates. We’re still figuring out everything that’s missing, and honestly it’s been a gut punch that has left us scrambling. The timing couldn’t be worse. Our state race is less than a month away. The money we had set aside to slurry the track (something we’ve been waiting to do because of the rain) now has to go toward trying to replace what was stolen. For those who don’t know us, Lone Star BMX is a small non-profit, volunteer-run track in San Antonio. We love this sport and we love this community. We have countless families that drive hours from across south Texas every week just to be here. This place is special, and we refuse to let this set us back. We’re asking for help. Every single dollar goes straight to resurfacing the track, getting back what was broken and stolen. We’re not going anywhere. Lone Star BMX will be ready on race day but we just need our community behind us to get there. Thank you.

We will keep you all updated with the progress. We tried to get a GoFundMe started, but couldn’t access an old account that had been made several years ago.
