October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and at YMCA Community Impact Services, this work happens year-round.

Last year our Victim Assistance and Advocacy Legal Services team supported 110 individuals who experienced domestic violence, helping them navigate the path toward safety.

Social isolation affects nearly 1 in 4 adults 65+ and is linked by the CDC to a roughly 50% higher risk of dementia and other health concerns. Healthy aging requires connection and the YMCA of Greater Houston is a place to do it.
