Happy $6 Senior Friday!!

Today is Layla's turn at the vet. She is also dealing with some ear issues and has been messing with her b***y alot according to her foster momma. We are hoping that just like with Blue yesterday, she will be feeling better soon. She does also have some nasty teeth which we are planning the dental. Both her dental and Blue's are around $1,300 each which combined is expensive for anyone.

If you would like to contribute to Layla on this $6 Senior Friday, it would absolutely make our day! We need funding because without it, dogs like Layla fall through the cracks. She is already 16yrs old forced to start all over. These are her golden years, and we want to ensure that every day for her is beautiful.

Update! - Estimate is $208.26 from the vet

This morning Blue has his vet appointment for a recheck on his ears. We are crossing our fingers that we can get this guy some much needed relief although overall he has been doing pretty well. He loves his foster momma and foster siblings. He enjoys naps throughout the day and begging for snacks whenever his momma is in the kitchen.

If you would like to contribute to his visit today, please see our options below. We have another vet visit tomorrow for senior girl Layla as well so two vet bills back to back and the vet is only getting more expensive. Every dollar makes a real difference, and we are needing all the support we can get for these special souls!

This sweet boy knows how to start every day and that is with the biggest smile! Since joining his new foster momma, this guy has been so happy. He fit right in with her already existing senior pack and is loving life, except that his ears are still giving him some trouble. He has another vet appointment tomorrow morning and we are hoping that with that, he will finally have some relief.

If you would like to donate towards his appointment, please see our options below. Layla has her own vet appointment on Friday so that means back-to-back appointments this week and back-to-back vet bills. Even more minor appointments coupled with the medications needed are expensive. Every dollar adds up and is greatly appreciated!

This weekend I got to spend some time with some very adorable senior doggies. Both Blue and Layla are the absolute sweetest souls, and I loved them before I met them, and even more now. Blue got to attend a Blessing of The Animals event on Sunday with his foster momma and Layla spent her weekend doing what she does best which is relaxing with her wonderful foster family.

Both seniors are still dealing with some health issues unrelated to the dental work they are both needing as well so we will need to get them back to the vet for follow ups but hopefully at some point soon, they will be feeling their very best! If you would like to support our rescues, please see our options below. Every dollar counts!

Safe to say that these seniors are thriving in their foster homes! Blue recently had to say goodbye to his original foster momma after she could no longer foster him. But thankfully another amazing foster was able to step in, and Blue has been getting spoiled every day since, with zero complaints!

Layla was an owner surrender who after 16yrs, was surrendered to us. While that was incredibly difficult, after a much-needed groom, vet appointment, and a little TLC this little girl is like a brand-new dog! She has been getting the senior zoomies, demanding cuddles, and prefers to walk around in her very own, brand new fluffy pink robe. She is absolutely spoiled and she will take nothing less.

It is because of our community that we are able to save seniors like Layla and Blue. Thanks to our supporters, these two get to enjoy their golden years so thank you! These two are also in need of dentals which combined will be over $2,000 after our rescue discount. Funds are always needed and always appreciated!

Update! Our current vet estimate is $441. So far donations are $250.

Happy $6 Senior Friday!

This sweet girl is headed to her first vet appointment this afternoon since coming into the rescue this week. She also had a spa day this week but unfortunately because her matting was so severe, she needed to be shaved down. But after her shave, you would swear she aged down at least a decade! This girl is 16yrs old but suddenly became a puppy again, complete with some much needed zoomies! I can only imagine how uncomfortable she must have been for a long time. She could not even p**p properly because the matting blocked it! But those days are behind her now. She is so loved and I am forever grateful for her foster for taking her in.

We will now see what we are dealing with health wise and hopefully she is doing okay. Even though this is a first visit, this visit is going to be costly due to bloodwork, vaccines, exam, and her ears are in horrible shape. Her teeth are also in horrible condition. Poor girl! It has been sometime since she has seen a vet according to her former owner.

If you would like to support us and help this sweet senior live out the golden years she deserves, please contribute! Every dollar adds up and truly makes all the difference!
