This past week I heard someone say "thank you for our freedom," not simply "thank you for your service." I have worked with veterans for our 15 years learning and appreciating that as we sleep and slumber, our service men and women are protecting us in the darkest pits of the earth. Millions have lost their lives to keep us safe. We owe them more than a simple acknowledgement, we owe them our life.
