Last week, some of Houston’s youngest CEOs stood up in front of real judges and pitched the businesses they built from scratch. 🍋

They walked in with a goal, a plan, and a whole lot of courage. They walked out having done something most adults are nervous to do.

Thank you to Susser Bank for opening your doors and hosting our Best Pitch Competition, and to our judges for taking every pitch seriously. And to every young entrepreneur who stepped up: we are so proud of you.

Lucas and Judah started their lemonade stand to learn about money and what it takes to run a business. They never imagined where it would lead. 🍋⚾

When the brothers found out some kids on their Little League team, the Strikers, couldn't afford hats for the season, they put those lessons to work. They asked their mom how they could help, squeezed lemons, served customers, and blew past their goal.

This week, they told their story live on KHOU 11. And now every Striker takes the field in a brand new hat, bought with lemonade money and a whole lot of heart. ❤️

They set out to learn financial literacy and entrepreneurship. They ended up learning generosity too.

This morning our young entrepreneurs took over KHOU 11 to show Houston what kids can do when they run their own businesses. From green room mic checks to the big moment on set, these kids brought the energy and the confidence.

🍋 Every great entrepreneur remembers their first pitch. This is where ours will give theirs! 🍋

Take a walk with us through Susser Bank, home of this Wednesday's Lemonade Day Houston Best Pitch Competition. In just a few days, our young entrepreneurs will stand right here and pitch their lemonade businesses to a panel of judges. 💛

These kids have spent weeks building their business plans, designing their stands, and practicing their pitches. Now it's their time to shine in a real bank, in front of real business leaders. That's what Lemonade Day is all about: teaching kids that their ideas matter and that they have what it takes to be the boss. 🙌

When the Strikers brothers learned that some of their Little League teammates couldn't get the right hats for game day, they didn't wait for someone else to solve it. The Astros Foundation had provided hats, but not the ones needed for game day, so these two young entrepreneurs put their Lemonade Day skills to work.

They set up their stand, ran it like a real business, and earned a profit. Then they chose to share it, sponsoring game day hats so every player on the team could take the field together. 🍋⚾

This is what Lemonade Day is all about: young people learning to spend some, save some, and share some, and using business to make a difference in their community.

That's what real leaders of tomorrow look like. Today.

They got the invite. Then they sold out. 🍋

Meet the LL Cool Kids, two young entrepreneurs who were invited to bring their lemonade stand to the Black Business Expo. They showed up with their table set, their signs ready, and their lemonade cold. By the end of the day, every last cup was gone.

This wasn't their first time behind the stand. To date, the LL Cool Kids have activated 10 stands, and they're just getting started. Every stand is more practice talking to customers, handling money, and believing in what they've built.

That's what Lemonade Day is all about. Kids start their first business, learn to spend some, save some, and share some, and walk away knowing they can build something real.

LL Cool Kids, we are so proud of you. Houston, keep an eye out, because there are more stands to come. 👀

🍋 Meet our Guest Lemonade Day Ambassador Judge: Sabrina Roesler! 🍋 Fresh'n Juicy @

Sabrina's story with Lemonade Day Houston goes way back. As a fourth grader in Sugar Land, she launched her lemonade business Fresh n Juicy and was named the Lemonade Day Houston 2020 Youth Entrepreneur of the Year. She did it while completing the business lessons while attending school remotely during the pandemic, and her creative flavors like Muddy Buddy, made with brown raw sugar, had customers coming back for more.

Her hard work didn't go unnoticed. She was congratulated by the Texas House of Representatives, honored with a proclamation from the Sugar Land City Council, and went on to become Lemonade Day Houston's Ambassador of the Year in 2021.

In her own words, "I learned things that my mom didn't learn 'til college." 💛

Now Sabrina is coming full circle to judge our next generation of young entrepreneurs at the Best Pitch Competition on October 7 at Susser Bank! 🏆
