On May 22 — Scars to STARs Summit — around 1,600 people from across the world came together for our third annual summit. Thirty years after the original ACE study, the message was clear: the science is settled. Now it's about what we do with it.

From the researchers who started it all to the survivors leading the way forward, this year's summit was about turning knowledge into healing — because healing is a right, not a privilege.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

This June, we celebrate LGBTQ+ joy, love, identity, and resilience.

At the same time, we recognize that many LGBTQ+ people face higher risks of depression, anxiety, and trauma due to discrimination, stigma, and rejection.

Seeing yourself represented, finding community, and being able to live authentically are all protective factors for mental health.

You are not alone. You are seen. You are worthy of love, safety, and good mental health.

A hard part of healing is accepting that some people may never give the apology, accountability, or understanding we hoped for.

Your pain mattered then. It matters now. And it doesn’t become less real because someone refuses to acknowledge it. ⭐️🤍
