After 10 long years, Immigrant Action Alliance is saying goodbye. We are eternally grateful to each volunteer, partner, ally and friend who helped carry out our work of ending isolation for people in ICE detention.

Please join us for a final goodbye gathering to share stories, tears and smiles as we say goodbye. Lunch will be provided. You don't need to bring anything except a story to share, though a dessert to share is much appreciated!

On Friday, September 15, 2023, Immigrant Action Alliance, Detention Watch Network, ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, Tallahassee Chapter of the National Association of Women, FL People’s Advocacy Center, and Food Not Bombs Tallahassee, will host a press conference and vigil demanding the Biden administration shut down immigrant detention centers, especially the one closer to us in Baker County. We are asking for an end to contracts with for-profit corporations, where immigrants are abused and neglected. We demand alternatives to detention.. Today’s action is one of many actions taking place nationwide, demanding accountability from the Biden administration and pressuring them to take life-saving action.

This month's group visit to was a success! Huge thanks to Connie for leading the way for seven new and returning visitors to meet with people detained at Krome. This month's group included student volunteers, local faith leaders and members of Broward DSA.
