RIP Ray.

Very sad news to hear of the passing of an early Giant in the manufacturing of concession trailers. Ray Schantz along with his father in a small shop in Marine Illinois changed the carnival business forever when they started with the retractable axle concession trailers starting in the 50’s. As most people in our business I had the pleasure of knowing Ray on a first name basis. Gala and I send our deepest condolences to Ray’s family. RIP my friend.

Miami showmen were in Gibtown visiting the Carnival World Museum. What beautiful displays and so many interesting artifacts and memorabilia to look at. It was a wonderful experience. I urge you to stop by and see Lee Stevens at the museum. He was giving a tour and he knows his stuff 💜🎠
