A collaboration worth celebrating! 👏 The Marfan Clinic at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, alongside WPLG Local 10, has been recognized by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce with the Outstanding Healthcare Collaboration Award as part of its Excellence in Healthcare Awards.

This recognition celebrates the team’s work to educate our community and help families better understand Marfan syndrome and related conditions. Congratulations to Dr. Roman Yusupov and the entire Marfan Clinic team on this well-deserved honor! 🎖️

At Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, our pediatric physical therapists help children and teens build strength, improve mobility and regain function after illness, injury or challenges related to a disability, with care designed around each child’s individual needs and goals. 🏥

From inpatient rehabilitation at our main hospital in Hollywood to outpatient therapy at locations throughout South Florida, including Memorial Hospital Miramar, our rehabilitation teams work alongside patients and families to help kids move forward and get back to doing more of what they love. ❤️

This Physical Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the therapists who bring expertise, encouragement and a whole lot of heart to every session.

It's Zayn's first birthday and it was a wild one! 🦁🎉

Dec My Room and the heart transplant and heart failure team at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital came together to make him feel special. Zayn has been in the hospital for 7 months as he is waiting for a heart transplant. ❤️

There was even a birthday "smash" cake as part of the celebration.

Today, you’d never know Alyssa was born with a dislocated hip.

She first came to Dr. Eisner at just three months old. When bracing wasn’t enough, she underwent surgery followed by months in a body cast. 🏥

Years later, her hip has fully normalized and Alyssa is running, playing and thriving. A pretty incredible journey that started before she could even walk. 👏

We celebrated NICU Awareness Month by welcoming former patients and their families back for our NICU Reunion, reconnecting with the caregivers who were there for some of their very first milestones. 🏥

We went gold this weekend for the 4th Annual Go Gold Ribbon Parade! 🎗️💛

In recognition of National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation brought together patients, families, and oncology team to a special day celebrating the courage of children facing cancer. The celebration kicked off with the Go Gold Parade, featuring cars decked out in gold, colorful signs, streamers, and plenty of smiles for our patients and families.

A special thank you to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation for helping make this year’s celebration possible and continuing to support patients and families at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

A new heart. A second chance. For years, 16-year-old Jessenia lived with cardiomyopathy, a condition that left her tired, caused her to pass out and eventually made a heart transplant her only path forward. ❤️

Five months after receiving her new heart, Jessenia is getting back to working out, Pilates and spending time with the people she loves. On World Heart Day, we celebrate Jessenia’s journey, the care of Dr. Svetlana Shugh and her team, and the incredible gift of organ donation that made this new chapter possible. 🏥

Born at just 23 weeks and weighing a little over one pound, Freddy spent months in the NICU at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Today, at three years old, he’s reaching new milestones with the help of occupational, physical, feeding and speech therapy. ❤️

Freddy and his mom, Mairilin, continue to visit the Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Memorial Hospital West twice a week for therapy, where his care team is helping him build the skills and confidence to keep moving forward. From the NICU to rehab, Freddy has come a long way. 👏
