🃏✈️ EAA 105 22ND ANNUAL POKER RUN – SEPTEMBER 19TH! ✈️🃏

Get ready for a day of flying around the Pacific Northwest! The EAA Chapter 105 Annual Poker Run is coming up Saturday, September 19th!

☕ Registration opens at 7:30 AM at Lenhardt Airpark (7S9)

Each $25 entry gets one poker hand. If more than one person in your airplane wants to play, each person who wants their own hand will need their own entry.

Passengers are absolutely welcome to come along for the adventure without purchasing a poker hand!

🍳 Planning a stop at Independence?
The Starduster Cafe opens at 8:00 AM on Poker Run day, so please plan your route accordingly!

Everyone starts at Lenhardt (7S9) and finishes at Twin Oaks (7S3). The airports in between can be visited in whatever order you choose!

Fly the route that works best for you, visit some great local airports, collect your cards, enjoy some beautiful Pacific Northwest flying, and finish the day back at Twin Oaks to see who comes away with the winning poker hand! ♠️♥️♣️♦️

You don't need the fastest airplane, and you don't have to fly alone. Bring your friends and family and make a day of it!

📋 Complete Poker Run rules will be provided to each participant at registration.

⚠️ As with any flying event, pilots are responsible for their own flight planning, weather decisions, NOTAMs, and safe operation of their aircraft. Event details and participating airports are subject to change.

🛩️ EAA 105 September Fly-Out – WAAAM Hood River Fly-In! ✈️

Join EAA Chapter 105 on Saturday, September 12th for a group fly-out to the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) Annual Hood River Fly-In at 4S2!

☕ Meet at Hangar G1 at Twin Oaks Airpark at 9:00 AM for coffee and donuts.

✈️ Weather permitting, we’ll depart around 10:00 AM and fly as a group to Ken Jernstedt Airfield (4S2) in Hood River for the WAAAM Fly-In.

The annual WAAAM Fly-In attracts hundreds of people and aircraft and is a great opportunity to see vintage airplanes, explore the museum, meet fellow aviation enthusiasts, and spend the day surrounded by some amazing pieces of aviation history.

🎟️ WAAAM Fly-In admission is $25 and includes admission to the museum and Fly-In activities.

🛩️🔧 EAA 105 Build & Fly – September 13th!

Build & Fly will now be held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month through December!

Come build, learn, and have some fun with us at our next EAA 105 Build & Fly session!

Build & Fly is designed primarily for youth ages 10–15, but all youth are welcome! Our mentors also do their best to have age-appropriate projects available for our younger builders.

✈️ EAA Chapter 105 Monthly Blueberry Pancake Breakfast!
Join us This Saturday, September 5th at Stark's Twin Oaks Airpark Twin Oaks Airpark for our monthly Blueberry Pancake Breakfast!
Bring the family, grab some breakfast, check out the airplanes, and meet other aviation enthusiasts. Everyone is welcome — this event is open to the public!

Proceeds from the breakfast help support EAA Chapter 105 programs and activities.

✈️ Young Eagles Rally!
We'll also have a Young Eagles Rally happening at the airport during the breakfast, so it should be a busy and fun morning at Twin Oaks!

⚠️ Pilots & Visitors: With the Young Eagles Rally taking place, please expect additional aircraft traffic in the pattern and increased pedestrian activity around the airport. Please keep an extra eye out and use caution.

🛩️🔧 EAA 105 Build & Fly – August 23rd!

Come build, learn, and have some fun with us at our next Build & Fly session!

🎉 And we have some exciting news — Build & Fly is continuing through the end of the year! We'll be adding more sessions and special projects for September through December, so stay tuned for upcoming dates and details.

Build & Fly is designed primarily for youth ages 10–15, but all youth are welcome! Our mentors do their best to have age-appropriate projects available for our younger builders too.

✈️ EAA Chapter 105 Fly-Out – Independence & WOW STOL!

Join us Saturday, August 22 for a Chapter 105 fly-out to Independence State Airport (7S5) for the WOW STOL event!

☕ 9:00 AM – Meet at Hangar G1
We'll start the morning with coffee and donuts, get everyone together, and make plans for the flight down.

🛫 Around 10:00 AM – Depart for Independence (7S5)
We'll head down as a group and spend the day checking out the WOW STOL event.

✈️ EAA Chapter 105 Evening Gathering – Tomorrow Night!

Come join us at Twin Oaks Airpark for our August Evening Gathering!

This month, Ron Wanttaja will be giving a presentation on the Fly Baby, and his beautiful green-and-white Fly Baby will be on display for everyone to see up close.

We'll have:
• Hot dogs with optional chili
• Quesadillas fresh off the Blackstone for a non-meat option

Come grab some food, check out Ron's Fly Baby, catch up with fellow aviation enthusiasts, and enjoy an evening of airplanes and good company.

📅 MARK YOUR CALENDARS! ✈️🍗

It's never too early to start planning for one of our favorite fly-outs of the year!

EAA Chapter 105 will be heading to the Jordan Chicken Run this September, and you won't want to miss it. While the event is still about two months away, we wanted to get it on everyone's calendar now. We'll post another reminder with more details at the beginning of September, so keep an eye on our page.

We'll meet at Stark's Twin Oaks Airpark in Hangar G1 at 9:00 AM for coffee and donuts before departing as a group around 10:00 AM for OR51.

If you're planning to fly, please be sure to review your route ahead of time. OR51 is a well-maintained grass strip, and there is a power line with orange marker balls located near the end of the runway, so make sure you're familiar with the airport before your arrival.

The Jordan Chicken Run is always a fantastic event featuring a fly-in, classic car show, and an amazing BBQ chicken dinner. Dinner tickets regularly sell out, so it's strongly recommended that you purchase them in advance using the contact information on the flyer.

Reminder: Next Tuesday, EAA Chapter 105 will be hosting an open house and pot-luck dinner at Twin Oaks Airpark hangar G1 on Tuesday July 21, 6:30 PM. Families, friends, student pilots, instructors, hangar neighbors, and others interested in the chapter. are welcome to join us. The chapter will provide bbq pulled pork, hotdogs, cheese quesadillas, water to drink, plates, and utensils. Attendees are encouraged to bring a food dish to share and something for themselves to drink if they want more than cold water.
