Schedule Updates for Sunday, August 23 - Please Share!

Due to construction progress and Fire Marshal restrictions, we have some changes in our typical Sunday schedule. Don't worry, we are still blessing backpacks, students, teachers, and staff at all three services tomorrow, too! Read on for the schedule:

8:15 AM - Worship in the Nave
9:30–10:30 AM - Faith Formation Kickoff + Plant Swap in Saints' Hall
9:35 AM - Elementary School Parent Meeting in the Library
10:15 AM - Contemporary Worship in the Nave
11:00 AM - Worship in the Nave

The need is greater than ever, and the meals-in-a-bag that we packed last school year have been leaving the blessing box as fast as we can put them in there. We are packing more meals August 23 and need the following items to make the bagged meals: canned chicken or spam (10 oz or bigger cans preferred), boxed au gratin potatoes, 15 oz canned vegetables (any variety), and 10.5 oz cans cream of mushrom or chicken soup.

Bring your donations to church on Sunday or throughout the week, and plan to help pack meals on August 23!

We loved hosting the last "Consider the Stars" Art Camp that the NC Synod, ELCA has been putting on across North Carolina. We had a great time learning about God's creation, hearing stories, and making lots of crafts. At our closing worship service, every kid had a favorite part of the day.
