The Association for Pathology Informatics (API) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to advance the field of pathology informatics as a core subspecialty discipline in the medical community.

ATTENTION API MEMBERS: API is seeking engaged and enthusiastic members to serve on API Committees & the API Trainee Subcommittee.

Serving on an API committee is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the field of pathology informatics, collaborate with peers, and help shape the future of the association.

General Committee Information
Each committee includes a minimum of six members serving two-year terms, including two co-chairs. Terms typically run from July 1 through June 30, and members may serve multiple terms in accordance with API bylaws.

We are accepting applications for the following API Committees:
Program Committee
API Summit Planning Committee
Training and Education Committee
Publications Committee
Technology Standards and Innovation Committee
Membership Committee
Inside the Digital Lab (IDL) Workshop Planning Committee
Eligibility is open to all API members in good standing.

Trainee Subcommittee
API is also seeking trainee members to serve on the Trainee Subcommittee, which reports to the Training & Education Committee.
This group plays a key role in:
Enhancing trainee engagement (including social media initiatives)
Providing input on educational programming
Planning trainee-focused networking events (virtual and in-person)
Creating opportunities for trainees to present their work
The subcommittee consists of six members serving two-year terms, including two co-chairs.
Eligibility includes:
Residents in ACGME-accredited programs
Fellows in pathology informatics, clinical informatics, or related fields
Master’s, pre-doctoral, and post-doctoral students
This is a valuable opportunity for trainees to get involved in API and build a foundation in pathology informatics.
