Last week, we celebrated the newest graduates of the Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship (AMP) Program, including the largest Lawrence County cohort to date and the first-ever pilot cohort in Mercer County at Farrell High School.

Through this program, students receive hands-on training through Pennsylvania College of Technology at no cost to them or their schools, earn an industry-recognized credential from the Society for Manufacturing Engineers, and have the opportunity to receive up to $1,000 in stipends. They also connected directly with regional employers—including Flowline Fittings, Berner Air Curtains, Consolidated Glass Corporation, G.W. Becker, Altium Packaging, and FirmaPak—who are hiring now.
