There’s no need to rake up all the leaves in your yard! 🍃

Leaving leaves on the ground supports local wildlife and helps enrich your yard and garden. 🍂

Our very popular FREE Tire Recycling event is back this Fall. With our partner we will take tires until the truck is full. Mark your calendars for this opportunity to help us keep the Shenango River looking beautiful!

Bring the kids out for a fun morning of fishing. As always it's free and a good time.

While most people would decline to encourage “danger noodles” or “nope ropes” on their property, some landowners in Venango County have agreed to create enticing habitats for the state-endangered Eastern massasauga rattlesnake.

Persuading those landowners is among the latest efforts to stabilize dwindling populations of the smallest and shyest venomous snake in Pennsylvania.

After decades of working toward repealing the ban on Sunday hunting, today, we celebrate.

The board has heard recommendations from agency staff. They’ve heard from passionate sportsmen and women of Pennsylvania and today, they voted ‘yes’ for additional Sunday hunting opportunities starting this year!

Starting this September, hunters will now have Sunday hunting available to them through December 7. These Sundays will fall within the already established hunting seasons, with the lone exception being migratory game bird seasons. [If Sundays were added to migratory game bird seasons for 2025-26, it would result in an overall loss in hunting days.]

Dates included will be September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and December 7.

These are more than just extra days in the field. They are a reflection of the Game Commission’s commitment to remove barriers, make hunting more accessible, and ensure Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to be passed on!

THANK YOU for being a Pennsylvania hunter!
