💙 August in Action

As Membership & New Club Development Month comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at what August has meant for Hermitage Rotary.

👋 We welcomed Jill Kladitis as our newest member.

🤝 We introduced you to some of the people who make up our club through Meet a Member Monday.

🏘️ We continued celebrating the organizations that make our community stronger through Community Spotlight Wednesday.

🎒 And we put service into action by preparing 300 hygiene kits for local students at the Back-to-School Bash, each with a simple reminder to BE KIND.

Membership isn’t just about growing our numbers. It’s about bringing together people who want to connect, serve, and make a difference.

We’re proud of what our members accomplish together, and we’re always excited to welcome new people who want to be part of it.

💙 Community Spotlight Wednesday!

This week, we’re taking a moment to spotlight something that makes every community stronger: people who choose to serve.

From volunteers and nonprofit organizations to teachers, small business owners, first responders, and neighbors helping neighbors, our community is filled with people who give their time and talents to make a difference.

At Hermitage Rotary, we believe the greatest impact happens when we work together. Our 300 Back-to-School hygiene kits were just one example this month of what can happen when people come together around a shared need.

🎒💙 Back-to-School Bash 2026!

Today was all about helping local students head into a new school year feeling prepared, supported, and ready to shine!

Hermitage Rotary was proud to be part of the Back-to-School Bash, where we distributed 300 hygiene kits to local students—each one with a little reminder to BE KIND. 💙

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make today possible, from the organizations and volunteers who brought this event together to the community members who showed up to support local families.

This is what People of Action looks like.

It’s people coming together, meeting a need, and creating an impact that reaches far beyond a single day.

🎒 300 BACK-TO-SCHOOL BAGS! 🎒

Today, our Hermitage Rotary members spent their lunch packing 300 hygiene bags for tomorrow’s Back-to-School Bash!

Each bag is filled with practical items to help local students head into the new school year feeling prepared—and each one includes a little reminder:

💙 BE KIND.

Because creating lasting impact doesn’t always require something big.

Sometimes it looks like giving your lunch hour.
Sometimes it looks like packing a bag for a child you may never meet.
Sometimes it’s simply reminding someone that kindness matters.

That’s People of Action. 💙

💙 Why We Serve

At Hermitage Rotary, service can look like a lot of different things.

It can mean helping a local family during the holidays.
It can mean supporting a student with a scholarship.
It can mean partnering with organizations that are meeting needs in our community.
It can mean packing a hygiene bag, writing a simple note of encouragement, or showing up when our community needs us.

Sometimes the impact is big. Sometimes it’s as simple as letting someone know they aren’t alone.

As we celebrate Membership Month, we’re reminded that Rotary isn’t just about being a member—it’s about being part of something bigger than yourself.

And there are so many ways to serve.

🥫 Community Spotlight Wednesday! 🥫

This week, Hermitage Rotary is shining a spotlight on the Mercer County Food Bank and the important work they do to help make sure individuals and families in our community have access to food.

Food insecurity can affect anyone, and organizations like the Mercer County Food Bank help make sure that when someone is facing a difficult season, they don’t have to face it alone. ❤️

We’re grateful for the organizations, volunteers, and community partners who work every day to help meet the needs of our neighbors.

At Hermitage Rotary, we believe a stronger community happens when we connect, support one another, and serve together.
