Supporting Colorado Mesa Mavericks Athletics looked a little different at last Thursday's home opener.🏆

Fresh off the groundbreaking and announcement of the Canvas Credit Union Champions Center, the Athletics team hosted a one-of-a-kind experience: the CMU x Nike pop-up.

Back in April, CMU announced the Athletic Department's transition to Nike through our partnership with BSN Sports. That gave the Athletics Creative Media team a unique opportunity to introduce Nike to Mavericks through a Connex pop-up and live heat-pressing.

This type of event is only possible through the generosity and ongoing support of our Maverick community.

Canvas Credit Union Champions Center — Celebrating Community. Inspiring Champions.🏈

Today is a historic day for Colorado Mesa University Athletics. This afternoon, we broke ground on the new football complex and announced our 5-year partnership with credit union, officially naming the complex the Canvas Credit Union Champions Center.

Through our Building Maverick Champions capital initiative, Colorado Mesa Mavericks Athletics is entering a new era that embraces naming rights partnerships that are rooted in community. We are proud to launch into this journey with Canvas, as they have continually invested in both our students and our greater community.

For the second year in a row, our Mavs took home the Amateur Championship title at the Sinclair Rocky Mountain Open! Congrats to Dylan Everett, who finished 10-under to clinch the win. 🏌️

On August 14, the Colorado Mesa University campus brought a new statue named “Duster” to the community.

Through the generosity of Steve and Anne Meyer, long-time supporters of CMU, “Duster” now lives in the Formation District, a new home for all Mavericks. Changes like these on campus show the commitment of our donors and how we can build what's next, together.🤘
