Saturday was Truck and Treat at Fruita, where the GMJC handed out pounds and pounds of candy to the area trick or treaters, who came out to spend the morning with us. Thanks to all who participated in this! Next was our annual Lost in the Desert Run. We ran from Fruita to Hwy 139, and all the way to 27 1/4 Road. Over 14 miles as the crow flies, but our crow was having a bad day, and zigged and zagged, and flew for several hours. Thanks to Rick for being a great trip leader, and never making us lost (for very long). The heavy rains in the area a week before made some drainage crossings pretty interesting. But no one had to be pulled or pushed, and everyone held together. Our next stop was at the Grand Mesa Jeep Club shade structure at the Proving Grounds at 27 1/4 Road. To end the day, there was a Hot dog roast and potluck that riveled a meal fit for a king, (who likes hotdogs). Thanks to everyone who brought out food, and enjoyed some time with us. We hope you will join us next year because we will do it again!

The Grand Mesa Jeep Club will be at the Fruita Truck and Treat on Saturday! This year we are starting early, and will be passing out candy starting at 8:30, GMJC people need to be there well before.

We are moving our meet and greet to Saturday evening at 5:30 at the Proving Grounds at 27 1/4 Road. Hot dog cook out, Bring a side that goes with hotdogs.

Tomorrow Morning! Annual Fall Desert Clean up. Saturday October 10th, at 27 1/4 Road, MC TRack, 8:30 until 12:00. Come out and help us pick up some trash. Bring gloves, hat, water, etc. If you have a truck and trailer, you get bonus points. Sponsored by the Grand Mesa Jeep Club, Motorcycle Trail Riding Association, and the Western Slope ATV Association. We have dumpsters that need filling. See you there.

Monday Evening the 14th, is our regular September Meeting, postponed from last week due to Labor Day Weekend. Gather at 6 PM at Fiesta Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant on North Ave for a social time, and to eat, with a meeting time of 7:00 PM Don't forget to bring cash for Tee shirts and sweatshirts, and hoodies, for the soon to be here, colder weather.
